About Me

My name is James Maina Mbugua . Iam married with three daughters. I am a resident of Nakuru county, Bahati constituency Heshima village. I am currently working as a part time tutor and a business man.
Having completed my college education in science and unable to secure formal employment immediately, i started engaging in business. I have ventured in various fields. Currently, I am running a general grocery and mpesa shop.

My Business

I am currently running a general grocery shop combined with mpesa services. I buy groceries in bulk from Nakuru town wholesalers and sell at retail in my shop located in Ahero center along nyahururu road. On a good day I make about a net profit of kes 1000 from sales as well as mpesa services.

Loan Proposal

My business involves making and selling of liquid soap. My target market includes schools, public offices, beauty salons and homes. The soap is used for cleaning floors and other surfaces.

The chemicals and substances used include:
• Industrial salt
• Ungarol
• Caustic soda
• Ufacid
• Castor oil
• Sttp colour and perfume

To make 8.5 liters of ready to use soap, I will need a combination of the above chemicals worth kshs 200 at the current market price. This translates to kshs 23 per liter. When transport and other costs are included the cost price is kshs25 per litre.

The selling price currently stands at between kshs 35 to kshs 40 per litre translating to a minimum net profit of kshs 10 per litre.
This means if I succeed in securing the net credit of kshs 7500 as requested, then I will be able to produce an additional 300 litres with an extra profit of kshs 3000

Currently I have a capacity to produce 300 litres which I sell within thee days.
With the additional funding, I will hence double my capacity and profit.
With this profit, I will be able to repay the loan on schedule.
Thank you all Zidisha lenders for supporting my dreams.

    Dear ZIDISHA Team

Kindly allow me to reschedule my loan repayment installments to the above stated amount for one month due to the reasons below.
1.Some of the brands orf soap that i was making have come under very stiff competition from well established brands.
2.One of my most entrusted marketer and confidannt have have left to start his own similar business.

In light of this, i have decided to restrategize to overcome this temporal setback. I hope to recover fully within a span of one month. Looking foward to your favorouble consideration.
