About Me

My names are Gitau Kiuri Samuel,' I am 33 years old. i am a Kenyan citizen residing in the capital city,Nairobi.I am the fourth born in a family of eight.i hold a college degree in library and information science.i entered in the world of business two years ago,and opted to specialize in the selling of clothes.I sell both male and female attires-they are of two types:brand new clothes which are meant for customers with high purchasing power and second hand clothes which are meant for customers with low purchasing power.I have plans to expand my business and make it more profitable and on the other hand satisfy my customers better.

My Business

My business involves selling clothes at a stall in Githurai. I supply jeans and shirts and women tops. I have lots of customers which has inspired me to expand to a boutique. I am also planning to start selling shoes. I believe if i get the loan i will expand my business and reach out to the large community. I will also be able to provide for my own basic need.Apart from that i would also wish to give back to the society by creating job opportunities to the youth, this is a major challenge in our society.Hence if offered this loan i would be able to expand my business further and hence employ people to assist in managing the business Thank you

Loan Proposal

My business is based in Githurai 45 and it involves selling clothes and shoes to the young people thus through this loan I will be in position to purchase new stock of clothes worth Kshs 5000 and Kshs 2200 for the shoes.

Through the new stock I will be in position to meet the customers demand hence making more sales thus increasing my revenue this will assist me to expand my business hence I will ensure to repay the loan as per my suggestion to ensure more people benefit through this loan.

    Hi Samuel,

The previous comment was sent to your mentor.

    Hi Josephat,

You are the mentor of Samuel Gitau. Samuel don't make any repayment even after his loan was rescheduled on Aug 4, 2013.
May you give us some feedback (on the Samuel page)?

    Thanks,

    Michel

Hello, I see you are the volunteer mentor for Jane Wambui. She has not made any repayments yet, putting her almost 7 months behind already. Is everything okay with her?

i wish to reschedule my loan this has been evoked by the delay of goods that i had purchased from Uganda,a (neighboring country).Apparently they were delayed at the customs for three weeks,i am yet to get the profits from their sale since i have only managed to sell a few pieces.I would hence wish to reschedule my loan repayment until next month.

    Hi,

I’m Naroa Zurutuza, Zidisha’s Client Relationship Manager in Kenya. In my last visit to Githurai Progressive I had the pleasure to meet Samuel Gitau.

Mr. Gitau joined Zidisha around one month ago and he used his first loan to purchase new clothes for his fashion shop in Githurai market. Together with his wife, he owns a clothing shop where he mainly sells jeans.

However, not only he is a Zidisha client but he is also a Volunteer Mentor, helping Zidisha contacting and managing new local clients. He is helping us spread the word, talking to the rest of business owners around the market.
It was a pleasure meeting you Mr. Gitau,

    Naroa Zurutuza
