    Dear lenders,
This is Analin Saturria McGregor; I'm a Communications Associate at Zidisha. Our Volunteer Mentor in Mtwapa, Devis Kiti, has informed us he spoke to Mrs. Abdalla over the phone and later paid a visit to her home and business area. Sadly, he reports to us that Sharifa's business premises were robbed and a large portion of her merchandise was stolen. This has caused a severe decline in Sharifa's sales that have limited her ability to make her loan payments.
Security is a problem many of our borrowers face in Kenya. In fact, many other members of our community have businesses targeted at the business opportunities that an unsafe environment presents: iron gates, door and window reinforcements, even guard dogs, are some of the businesses some of our members have to provide security services.
Devis will continue assisting us from the field in helping Sharifa find a payment plan she can stick to while still getting her business back on track. Thank you for your support of Mrs. Abdalla!
