About Me

My names Samuel Mang’eli Muia am from Machakos County but my frequency town is Nairobi city route 33 embakasi pipeline estate, we are five in our family and am the first born I hold a diploma in information technology (IT) about business was my first thing to all even when I was employed business idea came to me when I was a young. Starting a cyber business came to mind when I went a long distance just to do an ID copy thing came to mind that can I start a stationary shop here. It started like a dream but one day came true. About the earning for a day I get 2000/= sales this is when you subtract each expense occurred that day. My business still supplies the stationaries to some private schools so about the earnings I have no problem. I still do cyber installation software installation and computer maintenance. Business is kind of being trustful and honest because if you don’t be one of this defiantly you are nothing but unsuccessful business man, still there is something and foremost keeping records. Let me tell you my story why I left my employer, when I started the cyber I had no time to be there I employed someone there for about three months the job was amazing but for some times I was being send out of Nairobi to other places so I had no time with her. I stayed for a month when I came back I got the sales are down I asked her where are the records of that month she shocked me saying that I didn’t record I told her that I need a record of any thing you get from this premise. For about a month again my sales started rising that I noted that records are very important in each and every business if you want to be a successful businessman/ lady. What am intend to do now is to open another branch I believe with zidisha microfinance I will.

My Business

I started my cyber the year 2011 with 4 Computers and 1 printer (Epson Printer) The profit I was making with 4 computers was ksh 15,000 per months, after I have paid all the expenses, I started saving a quarter of my profit that is ksh 4,000 inorder to increase/boost my business, after one year I had raised a lot money where I bought another 6 computers and increases the internet bundles so as my customers can enjoy the internet nicely. I worked hard for the next 4 months saving and I managed to buy another 4 computers and bought another printer that cost me ksh. 150,000, now am having 14 computers and 2 printers. Monthly I make a profit of ksh. 45,000, Although some of the Computers broke down they need repair where I don’t have money where its costly to maintain them, and am very sure if I can get money to make working again I can go far and do lot in ICT sector here in Kenya.
Secondly I had a plan if I get money to start another branch in the next town. So I can boost my income and create job to the poor people who are looking for the job and too get experience for the student who are directly from school. As I sat down and budget for the new project It cost me Ksh. 300,000 thousand where I wanted to start with ten (10) Computers and 1 printer and a photocopier machine that cost me ksh.150,000, the remaining balance will be internet bundles which is costly because of installation Ymax Radio, this is costly because I pay double the monthly bill and the installation fee.
The other thing is about partitioning of the room and the person who will be running the cyber, setting a cyber needs a lot because materials are very expensive like timber, Nails, Internet Cables, Electricals Cables, and the person to setup the Cyber with Design I wanted , this is another case because it should be set in a way it can attract customers and the internet is sufficient such that I will be able to raise money to pay this person pay my bills and also save a little for my basic needs.
Lastly, I had planned to start selling Computer Accessories, this because I have seen it working because some of my customers come to ask them in my cyber and have realized that it can be a source other income in my business. When I did my approximately when all this business are running I found I can be able to raise Ksh. 100,000 Monthly. This is good money for a start. So that’s y I had applied for loan in your Institution so as I can boost my business and also uplift the life of others in our Country. Where getting a job nowadays it’s not easy, this is a another ways of creating jobs for the youth generation and too making them more conversant in IT sector.

Loan Proposal

My first loan I will use it to start a different source of income, selling movies and start a play station this will create a client source because there will not client getting out without buying,I have done a lot of research within pipeline estate and found that selling of movies during holidays mostly weekends is pick time if I get this loan not something I will start thinking is the plan in mind. i pray that zidisha microfinance will make my dream came true.
