About Me

Miss Peace Abotsi is the third child and the first daughter of Mr. Prince Richard Abotsi and Mrs. Charity Nyonyo. I was born in August of 1988 in Keta of the Volta region. My parents hail from Tegbi, a village near Keta.I thus make use of this opportunity to move from village to village to buy maize which is transported to Akatsi for selling. This is the start of my flourishing business of maize selling.

My Business

The main dream now is to establish a food store which houses not only maize but other food stuffs such as rice, yam, and beans in large quantities. It is our plan to have warehouse(s) to harbor these foodstuffs in large quantities so that the store becomes the major food hub for the people of Akatsi and its environs. To make this a reality, we need capital and we believe a loan from Zidisha will help kick start a successful enterprise.

Loan Proposal

This loan that I am requesting for from Zidisha will help me to add up to my starting capital in maize selling business. Currently, my capital and the interests that have accrued since the start of the business can afford me up to about hundred (100) bowls of maize. When the Zidisha loan of about GHS 160 is given to me, it will help to buy about forty (40) bowls. A bowl of maize currently costs about GHS 3.50 ($1.09). When the cost of transporting the products from the villages to akatsi is also included, GHS 160 loan should get me about forty bowls of maize to add to the already existing 100 bowls.
With this amount that I am about to get from Zidisha, my profit will increase about GHS 20.00. One other major benefit that I will be able to get from this loan is that, I can extend my venture beyond my locality. I can be able to hire an extra hand to help me in selling the maize beyond where I can current reach up to. Gradually, I am also creating employment for the unemployed and edging closer to my plan of establishing a foodstuffs store in Akatsi. I hope I would be granted this opportunity.
