About Me

My name is Anne Wanjira,A single Mum to a 7yr old lovely daughter,i have a diploma in Tours &travel.
I run a family business that my mum has had since the 70,s selling curios and African artecraft.,but due to age and poor health(cancer) we had to sell the business to cater for hospital bills and medicine, she succumbed in May of 2012. I went into employment and have been saving to revive the business, that i had come to know and love.am looking forward to joining hands with well wishers to help revive my dream,i have intensive knowledge of especially antiques artecrafts that we had specialised in our shop.looking forward to my acceptance and eventual advancing of the loan as we embark on my success journey, and most important to see me put my daughter through education comfortably since she is bright and needs a sound education.

My Business

For now am in Employment,Earning 50,000 and am not paying any loan in any bank.I have great contacts for suppliers and even buyers of the antiques artecrafts, for starters i intend to sell them online by uploading their pictures, and also letting my old customers know that am back in business. My kind of curios does not have a lot of competion, since only a few people sell antiques cos only specific customers or collectors buy at very good prices since they are rare to find or come by, this includes original Maasai shields and spears, old traditional masks that i source from Congo And west Africa and antique African Dolls.

Loan Proposal

My Name is Anne Wanjira, and i would like to be funded by you 250$. I want to revive a long time family business that went down due to my Mums illness(cancer) and later her demise,it had served us well and saw us through school with my siblings and later joined my mum to run the business, because of it i travelled widely in the E.African countries,Tanzania,Uganda,& Rwanda buying select antique crafts from the various tribes and cultures.it is something i have a passion for and one thing i loved to do when i was at the shop was to explain about the history, use, significance of the item to a new buyer who would get hooked and eventually become a collector,i was like a Museum curator explaining about my chokwe masks from Congo or fertility Dolls from west Africa, etc an art that i had learned from my dear mum.

I have a friend who will display the items for me in her shop, and i also want to sell them online and am pretty excited cos i think internet buying and selling is the way to go.I want to start this journey with you my friends and looking forward to scaling great heights together.

Thanking you in advance
Anne Wanjira Gateru.
