My name is David Aswani. Born in a family of five siblings with our parents being peasant farmers, it has been difficult financing my education. It was by dint of hard work and assistance from family members that helped me in completing my business management course. I am currently employed in a motor vehicle spare parts shop. I believe that I can do other businesses so as to augment my salary to help provide my kids with the best of education and help the needy ones in my community.
I started poultry business three years ago with a capital of Ksh20, 000 saved from my current employment. I'm into wholesale/retail sale of eggs and chicken in my community. My farm is located in outskirts of Eldoret Town I make an average sale of 100 creates a week. I have two employees who help with the sale and conveying of eggs and chickens from the farms to the shop, hotels, shopping centers and subsequently to my customers. I chose this kind of business because it’s easy to manage and also its products are highly demanded. I make Ksh40, 000 a month, which I use to pay my workers, pay my children’s school fees and also I reinvest in the business.
My Dear Lenders I need to increase the sales of eggs from my poultry farm so as to make more profit pay my workers well and maintain the poultry house. When given the loan I will use it to purchase a bicycle for transporting the eggs from the farm to my customers. I also want to buy more chicks and chick mash, increase the size of the house so as to keep more chicks. When all of this is accomplished profit will increase to 70 % which I will use in repaying my loan.
