My name is Joseph Kariuki Kimani. Am 27 years of age and i live in a small town called Gilgil. I was brought up in a family of nine . I had a great childhood ,lot s of friends , lots of activities and life was good. Being the last born in our family and despite having many brothers and sisters i did always fill alone because there was no one home all my brothers and sisters were all grown up , we had a big gap between me and my second last brother. I have always known to be self dependent.

Only dad and mum were home. Both my parents were working as business people selling bata shoes. I used to love how their life was all the freedom they hard while working and making money at the same time and i wanted to become that.
As a child we explored a lot of games and especially in our town we had games for every season but i enjoyed two the most going bird hunting and playing "Banyo" i remember, how i used to wake up early every day before school and go and train my aim. I had somewhere i used to train with empty bottles until my aim got perfect . Also we used play a game called "banyo" . This was a game that involved small balls made of glass and was round in design ,two or more players were involved you use your fingers especially the middle one to hit the other ball at a distance. If it hit the other one you were the winner if you missed then your opponent plays. I remember going to sleep at late hours of 11 pm or some times give a lame excuse to my friends after school so that i could go and practice .Sometimes my fingers used to ache because of how i was stretching them too much .
Soon it all paid off because i became the best player in our home town . No one wanted to play with me anymore because they knew that i could win the game. That made me to stop playing because every one feared me. I started knowing the secrets of success was through hard work.
I used to love computers ever since i was little and to this day i still do . So after finishing High school. I joined a computer college finished, then my parents bought me three computers and rented a shop for me and i started a cyber cafe. The business was okay despite the hardships that i went through soon enough we had lots of customers wanting to access a cyber. But i felt that still something was missing in my life. I used to go to the next town to buy goods that were finished in the shop because our town didn't have them. And that's when it all changed for me .Going round the shops i came across a Movie shop. And that was my IT for me , came back home and a few months later changed my job to a movie shop and I have been doing that job ever since.
The unique thing about my town is that its that safest place you can ever be. We are surrounded by all armed forces like Kenya police , KDF's , A national youth service,administration police. I love singing so much its my passion no its in my blood.

My Business

I operate a Movie shop whereby if you want to a movie or music on dvd's ,on smartphones, on laptops,on smart tv's on a flash disk, in a Memory card. Also software installations e.g win 10,8,7 etc. also Smart phone applications, and computer accessories. The services are as follows:-
movies/series on dvds @ 50ksh
Operating system installation on Pc @ 1000 Ksh.
inserting single music video HD on devices @ 10 Ksh.
inserting single Mp 3 music on devices @ 5 Ksh.
Inserting an app on device @ 50 ksh
updating all apps on devices i.e
on Pc @ 150 Ksh.
on Smartphones @ 50ksh
Smart phone password unlocking @ 500 Ksh.
File conversion from MP4 to AVI or V.O.B and other formats but depends
if its small files @ 5 ksh per file
if its a big file e.g 1 hr and above @ 100ksh.
In this time and age every one likes movies,series or entertainment as a leisure. And that's where movie shops come in. And especially in our town the shops are scarce but in demand.
This is how a movie shop works. I buy movie at 20 Ksh and sell them at the same price if its inserting them on flash disks or memory cards if its on a dvd's you sell them at 50 Ksh. Now here is where i make my profit from i sell one movie to ten or fifteen people per day . Ten are dvds other five to ten are on memory or flash disks. lets do the math
10 dvds @50 =500ksh
5 mem/flash @ 20 =100 ksh
total =600 ksh thats one movie alone.
Now from one movie at @20 ksh I've made 570 ksh now imagine i sell five different dvd's to people i.e 570*3 =1710 ksh from movies alone per day plus the other services i do i make at least 2000 per day service. Per month 60,000 .
My profits i use to grow my business open other branches of my movie shop and in i also save for the future when i will come to have a family . I never want them to suffer only to have or give them best more than i ever did.

Loan Proposal

I want to buy a new desktop machine because the one i have is slow and there for it causes jam in the shop if i got a faster one i will be very good for the business because that will mean improved services. i will need 45,000 Ksh.
