About Me

I am a businessman and a small scale farmer too
Currently working in an IT firm and doubling it up with agriculture (cash crops) and chicken rearing for my day-to-day business to support my family too.
I am therefore applying for this loan to strictly help me acquire more materials for my businesses and my farm.
I started my business way back in 2012 and despite some struggles in the beginning I was able to stabilize more so because of this platform and am managing well at the moment.

My Business

Poultry farming and mixed farming.
I am venturing in rearing birds on my farm - mostly chicken and planting cash crops (for sale and use at home)
Currently I wish to expand the poultry house to accommodate more birds (chicken) for the upcoming holidays.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy more heads of chicken and seeds for my far too; considering we are heading into a season where the demand will be relatively high plus also putting into considering that I now have a wide client base hence high consumption.
I will equally use the loan in the following manner:-
19.43 Dollars for buying a variety of new seeds for my farm.
9.71 Dollars for planting labour and farm toiling expenses.
29.14Dollars for buying more heads of chicken.
9.71 Dollars for expanding and renovating the chicken house.
14.57 Dollars for purchasing chicken feeds and medicine product for my chicken.
4.86 Dollars for purchasing fertilizers for my farm.
6.34 Dollars for miscellaneous expenses like transport costs e.t.c

The benefits will be creation of sufficient supply of vegetables and chicken meat and products to my client base.
I expect an increase of close to 194.27 Dollars

Zidisha Team,

Sorry for the delay in making payments.
This has been majorly due to the fact that I have been unwell for most parts of this year and at one point I was hospitalized for about 4 weeks and the equally sunny periods that were experienced for most parts of January and February really had a negative impact on my business.
I merely fully recovered from the said illness in mid last month (March) and I have been re-structuring for my business and I hope to work effectively with the team.

The reason for the change is basically because a cousin was involved in a road accident and I together with several family members had to come together and raise some amount of money for his hospital bill, that's why I even did not manage to make my weekly payment for some weeks but I am promising to work on the same.

I received an amount of Kshs. 9,654/=.
I have used the amount to purchase new seeds and more heads of chicken for my business.
I am so grateful to the Zidisha team for the support they are giving me in helping me achieve my goals.

I used the loan given by Zidisha team for purchasing seeds for planting and several heads of chicken.
It improved me by expanding my client base, area of operation and my income too.
The business investment has further improved by approximately Ks. 16.000/=; that is the reason I even payed more than 50%. (little did I know it will affect my next loan)
I have used my profit for acquiring a calf.

The reason for change in repayment is because there was an increase in my sales and thus would wish to increase my repayment.
The investment I made with the loan is steadily bearing fruits and I am really grateful to the Zidisha team for helping me achieve that
