This is a picture of all my sisters. The tall lady is my elder sister. She died on 3/1/2015 of Pancreatic cancer. I am the one at the corner wearing a White Dress with a half coat. My parents were not able to educate me. My late elder sister brought me to Nairobi and took me to our Lady of Mercy Primary School for my primary education.
For Secondary School I attended Machakos Girls High School. I overcame
hardship when I was brought to Nairobi to attend school because I was not fetching
water and looking for firewood. After finish my '0' Level I trained as a Nursery
School teacher. I later started a Nursery school. The business is doing well. What is unique about our land is that the soil is fertile and the culture of country people are civilized. I have two children, my daughter wants to become a Air Hostess and my son wants to become a Doctor. My hobby is reading and singing.
My business of Nursery school will enable me to repay the Zidisha loan. I educate
children and also counsel them spiritually. The business is in demand because kids
can not join standard 1 unless the pass through Nursery school. I choose this
kind of business because it involved little money to start. I use the profit to
educate my children and for our upkeep. The profit will also enable me to repay
Zidisha loan. To reinvest the funds I also want to start selling second hand clothes
so that I expand the business. Once I start loan repayment I will invite all my
sisters and friends to apply for loans.
I will buy a bale of Second hand clothes for US$168.00. This will benefit me alot
because I will get a profit of 50% which will enable me repay the Zidisha loan, pay
school fees for my children and remain with some money to re-invest in the business.
