About Me

I am a cook at compassion kids school in Adawso, a school that takes care of less privileged children. I married with tree kids. I live in Koforidua and work at Adawso. I started my business when Compassion for Humanity wanted cook for the less prevailed children in their school. Before then i was working at restaurant in Koforidua. I buy all the food staff and cook for the school every week , where i am paid at end of the month what i spent and my salary. I feel helping the children with good meal, besides, it is something i have always wish to do to help humanity. I will be happy to be assisted with a loan to support the school and the children.

My Business

As already said i am a cook at Compassion Kids Int. school. And every month i am paid the amount i spend in buying the food staff for cooking for the children during lunch hour for the school and my salary as well. This business is monopoly, i have no one competing with me, since it is an organization , money always comes inn as agreed. Expenses for every month is 500 Ghc, depend on what extra i am ask to cook for the children and staff. This income from this is what i will use to pay back my loan if given. I promised to pay before due date.

Loan Proposal

When Given the Loan I will buy food items for the school i cook for.
Every week i will also buy what is needed the Kitchen and also will also sell some other items like bread, sugar, Hot Chocolate Drinks and water.

All these will be for the Children, the teachers and other workers within the school.
I believe with this support, the children can be given good meal each day, every week.

    Dear Lenders,

I met Naomi yesterday in the school where she works in Adawso, a rural town near Koforidua, in Ghana’s Eastern Region. Naomi runs the kitchen at Compassion 4 Humanity’s primary school, Compassionate Kids School. The school opened 2.5 years ago as a response to a lack of options for good education in the area and serves children from pre-school through sixth form. Serving breakfast and lunch to over 100 students, Naomi prides herself on being able to provide nutritious and fresh ingredients for the best meal most of the students will have access to in the day.

Her Zidisha loan has had a big impact on her ability to provide fresh veggies and good protein to students. On the day I visit, one of my favorite Ghanaian dishes is on the meal: Red red, a traditional and filling meal with lots of beans and plantains, and the kitchen is hard at work prepping for tomorrow. Naomi is incredibly appreciative of the help she has received from Zidisha, as I’m sure are the students that benefit from her work, and looks forward to continuing the relationship with her lenders.

Naomi – thank you for taking the time to meet me yesterday. We wish you and your family the best!
