About Me

My name is Mercy Edzeame Delanyo and I come from keta in the volta region of Ghana. I currently live in Accra with my nuclear family. Thus my husband and two children. I am a teacher by profession. I attended my junior high and senior high school in the Volta region. After completing the senior high school, I went university of winneba to do my course on education. I love teaching a lot and I really admire teachers. I see teaching as one of the good and delicate professions because every knowledge is either acquired through teaching or reading. I am very particular about what little kids between the ages of 6months to 5 years learn because it becomes their foundation. At the teacher training college in winneba we use to tease colleges who fail their English examinations that their English teacher died before they were born. It was really fun.

My Business

As a teacher, my aim and goal is to make the best out of my students all the time. I always work at teaching them to understand what it means to be educated and the penalties of taking education for granted in their youthful states of life. I started teaching after completing the senior high school. I taught primary 6 for a whole year, from first term to third term and left for college when I had admission to the university. I now teach English language in the senior high school. I always get contracts to teach students for private classes and this is most of the time proposed by the students to their parents. One I also do as a concerned teacher is that, I sometimes organize free classes for my students when it is getting to exams period to refresh whatever they have learnt. This classes has greatly helped my students in passing their exams including their final year examinations which is the West African Senior Secondary School Examination called WASSCE for short.

Loan Proposal

As a teacher my priority is for my students to make the best out of school and also to make their parents proud of them. No parent gets happy when his or her child fails an exam in school. Most parents feel their children do not learn well or their teachers did not teach them well to understand. I have realized most of the students struggle with oral English and it is my concern to help them make the exams a success. I have got a proposal from my students to buy oral English CD's for them which they would be paying for. This would help them in writing their oral English examination. This would also give me some profits to support my family. I need about $190 more to achieve this by first week of reopening from vacation which is 2nd October, 2015. I know with your help my students will be fulfilled. Thank you
