About Me

I am nixon muriithi aged 32 years. I was born and grew up in Imenti South in Meru county of Kenya. I grew up in cool environment of Timau which was very cold in all the seasons. My parents were farmers and they practiced dairy farming. when i was small after school and on weekends i worked at my parents garden planting and weeding for cabbages. I studied to secondary level where i did not perform well to be enrolled in university of college for a course. I depended on farming after form 4 where i learn't much skills that are helping me today.

My Business

My business is growing cabbages for both consumption and sales. After getting married i decided to continue growing cabbages at my husbands home as i did at my parents home. I chose this business because i realized cabbages were demanded so much both locally and in other markets in the country and the production was very poor. The main challenges i go through is harvesting and transportation. If the cabbages are not harvested in due time the risk is they will rot so if i have no transport to the required markets they all get destroyed. My goal about this business is to produce more to supply both locally and in urban centers.

Loan Proposal

With this loan i will pay laborers for harvesting and transportation cost to the market which will cost 15500 Kes This will increase my profit because i will have avoided brokers but instead sell direct to the market. This loan will greatly impact my business because early harvesting and selling will reduce products damages. To my family the increase in profit will improve my living standards.
