About Me

I am a Biology teacher and I am still studying in the University of Nairobi. I would like to use this loan to boost my stock in my retail shop. I did my KCSE in the year 2016 and now am a second year student. It was a problem for me getting my maintenance fee in school but since I started my business, it has helped me a lot. At first while in secondary school, I used to work very hard during holidays. For instance, I used to pluck tea and saving the wages. I also used to be engaged in manual work, where I used to dig the farm and growing food crops which I would sell after harvesting. I used to like growing potatoes because when I come from school, I would find the ready for harvesting then I sell them. The problem of capital used to challenge me a lot because I couldn't afford to bust the herbicides for spraying then potatoes and the yields were extremely low, but I just continued that way and finally after my secondary school,I opened a small retail shop and would like to expanf it. Now, I was requesting this loan so as to grow my business and even help me in paying my school fees here at the University. Currently, I often teach when I am in long holiday and then am capable of saving money and finally pay my fees. This business once it's strong enough, then I'll be able to support myself fully and even help my siblings in paying their school fees too.

My Business

I have a small retail shop, where I currently get my income from. I started it immediately after finishing my secondary school education. I also teach Biology and Chemistry while in long holiday and am able to get some money which I use to pay my school fees. My problem is only the expansion of my business,because I only have a small retail shop and would like to expand it. While at home, am able to do manual work which has aided me a lot in food and even clothing. The money for rent I get from my small business. I sometimes get a small aid from my parents, now that they are also struggling to pay school fees for my siblings, and always consider me as self dependent. But am not so much stable in my business.

Loan Proposal

I am almost finishing my semester at the University of Nairobi, school of education science. Before that, the University requires every student to have cleared the tution fees so as to sit for the end of semester examination. My portal is now closed due to an arrears of ksh. 1000 tuition fees. Once paid, it will be open and I am able to print my exam card and sit for the exam which has already started but my units are on Friday.I would therefore request for this loan to clear my university tution fees and will repay in time.
