About Me

My name is James Mbugua born in Nakuru County in an area called Gilgil. I come from a family of farmers where my parents’ main occupation was small scale farming. I am the third born out of 8 siblings.

I grew up in a typical rural area where there were very few amenities and my normal day was just going to school and helping my parents with their farming activities.

I did not proceed with education after my secondary school due to lack of finances. I did some menial jobs in coffee plantations for a few years and then decided to relocate to Mombasa to look for greener pastures.
With help of my church, I started taking photos in church and I would get paid for it. I expanded this business and opened a photo shop in town where I could now serve more clients. I later started shooting video to further expand my business.

I am married with two children aged 14 and 13 years and the latter is about to join secondary school.

My Business

I have done this business for the last 15 years and I have created a good network of customers. I specialize in covering church and social events such as weddings and birthdays. I do both still pictures and video coverage,

I get a flow of clients throughout the year but the business normally picks during festive seasons. I make an average profit of about $300 per month which is what supports my family.

Loan Proposal

My son recently completed his primary school education and he made good grades to enable him join a secondary school. His tuition fees and other expenses amount to about $350. This is beyond my reach for now and I have tried to raise this money from family and friends but I have not achieved much.

If given this loan, I will use the money to add up to what I have saved, collected from friends and relatives and this will be enough to take my son to school. I hope you understand my situation and please hear my plea.

Dear lenders, I am sorry I have taken a long time to repay my loan. My business closed down and I had to move to upcountry where I am now doing small scale farming. I feel I have now found my footing and I will start repaying my loan though at a smaller installment of KES 100.00 per week. Please bear with me.

Dear lenders ,& VM Gachukia. I invited Mr. James and unfortunately his business closed down a few months ago. I have advised him to reschedule his loan to a lower amount until he gets back on his feet. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Hi lenders,

Though being still optimistic in persuading James to pay,my efforts of even going through the contacts he provided is becoming futile, but all in all i will still follow up this case.

Thanks you so much Jan73. You have given me hope that all will be well. My son is supposed to report to his new school on Friday this week. I call upon other lenders to join me in this journey please.
