About Me

Born in a remotest village of Mwingi District, Kitui County, I was a pioneer at my primary school where we had only three teachers, but still made it to a good high school, and have worked my way up to university.

As a child, I passionately loved molding, making clay bulls and elephants and cars and all. Although I had an acute eye allergic disease (that I was often beaten whenever they found me handling clay, I couldn't give up until one day I modeled a a bird, and they'd say, "Hey, look at this one by Willy. It seems to fly, doesn't it?"

Well, I am now a 3rd Year B.A degree student of Literature and Communications at the University of Nairobi.

I am a writer. I do poems (available on www.poemhunter.com) and other literary opuses. And as a budding writer, i want to make it my main life agenda to write, so I may leave for this world something to keep them busy and enlighten generations after I am no more.

What I like about myself is that I have known the meaning of rising beyond self, and knowing that this life, after all, is shared. Our past stories may be different, but our destiny is shared, more so for those of us who believe in honesty and hard work, responsibility and the need to hold each others hand.

And let me state, without shame, that above all I believe in the Eternal Patron of Order.

My Business

As a young man of the day and age, I have tried to acquaint myself with the Internet quite much.

This is how I learned about iWriter, an online platform where I, and many other people round the world, get writing jobs (mostly blog type and other writing projects) from, write the projects, and if they are good enough, get paid. I am an iWriter and I recently became an elite type writer, the second best level.

So I am an online freelancer. I write for clients, get paid weekly, and use the proceeds for my upkeep in Nairobi, daily shuttling to college and back to house plus other college expenditures, as well as supporting my mum and younger siblings whenever need strikes.

I spend about 250 KES ($2.5) daily on cyber cafe charges, and earn 700 KES ($7) or less, the cost not deducted. If I had my own computer, I would be spending only 50 KES ($0.5) for 24 hours unlimited broadband connection. Now that is cost reduced significantly. it is improvement. And that's why I was happy to be introduced to Zidisha and apply for a loan. i want to buy my own computer.

I will use the first loan to purchase a CPU, continue working from cyber for about a month, repay the loan, then apply for a successive loan to buy everything I need to run a computer from my house-- TFT, cables, broadband modem, everything. That will be a great leap toward better life.

It will also help me in writing my other literary works, like poems and such, in my studies, and that I will have better time and convenience working from home when I am not attending classes, I will raise enough money to repay the loans, and even pay for my tuition fee.

Thank you to you all of Zidisha.

My Post Office Address is 14176--00800, Westlands, Nairobi--Kenya

Loan Proposal

Hello Lenders,

This is my second time to ask for you for support through a loan. I am grateful you funded me the first time, and I was able to purchase my own computer, better my online job, and repay on time. My repayment rate is 100%.

This round, however, I ask for your support to pay my college fee balance, 22,000 KES (about $220).

As I mentioned on my profile, I am a student at the University of Nairobi, taking Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Communications. I just started the first semester of my final year, and the savings I had for the fee fell short of 22,000 KES.

I kindly request you to be of help to me so I won't be left out. Fund me, please. I will be ever so grateful, and stay on my promise to pay every dime timely.

My warmest regards,
Willy Munyoki

    Hello dear Lender,

First, allow me to express my deep apology for failing to pay as I expected and promised. I got into trouble since there was a problem that developed in the online space payment method I use.

I now seek to rebuild, start repaying with what I get weekly. I am ever so grateful for your understanding, kindness, and continued cooperation.

    Warmest regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hi Dear Lenders,

I am ever so sorry to have delayed for so long before starting to repay my loan. My payments were convulsed with a problem that took too long to solve.

Now I wish to begin repaying, but at lower installments than I had promised. I hope to rebuild what I had been broken.

    Warmest regards,
    Molly

    Dear lenders,

No one is sorrier than I am for delaying my loan repayment for several weeks now. As I said before, there was a problem in the online payment space, through which I receive my payments for my online work, the only way I make money.

However, after weeks of corrections, I am hoping to receive money beginning next week. I will then begin repaying the loan, right away.

The truth is that I have not looked the other way and decided not to pay. I am obligated to repay what you gave me. That is what I believe.

I am not happy for the delay. But know that if I had not experienced such problems with my payments, I couldn't have delayed, even once.

I hope you will understand me, even as I look forward to beginning the repayment.

    My kindest regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hello Lenders,

I am ever so sorry I haven't yet started repaying my loan. I regret it, deeply.

Now, as you might have known, I live in Nairobi, Kenya. And as I have indicated on my profile, I work with iWriter.com, an online content sell-buy platform based in Carmel, IN, USA.

As such, I receive my dues via PayPal.

In the recent one month, there have been problems with PayPal to Mpesa transfers, thus haven't received my money in cash or into MPESA. I wished there was a way of repaying through PayPal.

I have done all I could to withdraw my money, and I am waiting for the results. I will soon resume paying my loan.

I cannot get away with anyone's money, and I am mindful of the help you have given me. I cannot go dishonesty with you.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hi dear lenders,

I chose Wednesday as the day I will be repaying my loan installments. However, I did not submit my yesterday's installment for this reason: I did not get my weekly dues from my online job, for there is a problem with airspace payments here in Kenya.

But stay assured that immediately I get my payments I will send my installment right away.

I am always thankful for your generosity and kindness.

    My warmest regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hello dear lenders,

I am so thankful to you I lack words to describe how happy you have made me. You funded my loan fully in time, and I am glad to inform you that I have received the $220 (21,895KES) you helped me raise.

I have therefore paid my college fee balance, and will continue with my studies, which I am working to accomplish by next year-- earn my degree.

I sure am forever thankful to you, and I promise to pay every dime on time.

    Again, thank you so much.

    My warmest regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hi Lenders,

I believe you are all fine, and I am grateful for your support. And now that the deadline for my college fee submission is fast approaching (Tuesday, 10th, November) allow me to request you to help me raise the loan a little earlier. It is just two days away.

    You are greatly appreciated.

    Warm regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hello Lenders,
I am glad to have held to my promise of repaying my loan on time, and thankful to you for you made made this happen-- I couldn't have done that if you had not first loaned me. And my computer, the computer you helped me purchase, has always been of prompt help whenever I am to respond to clients requests, and also for my university education. I will be posting photos to authenticate all this. It is authentic as I say it, anyway!

I hope to keep a rewarding relationship with Zidisha! Thank you Zidisha, and dear Lenders.

    Warmest regards,
    Molly

    Hello dear Lenders,
It's my concrete hope that all is dandy with you. I, too, am doing well, better, thanks to the generous support you granted me by funding my loan on this wonderful platform--Zidisha.
The truth is, I am Zidisha-ring (pushing back the frontiers of) my online ventures day after day since I acquired my personal computer, which you supported me purchase.
And today, for the heights I have scaled and the favorable change I am experiencing, I choose to increase my installments from the current 800KES to 2000KES. I hope that the trend will remain, and that I will pay to my last installment without delays.
However, for the reason that I routinely get my weekly bucks on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, I then will not be able to send the increased installment today, but on either Tuesday 6th October or Wednesday 7th October. I apologize for any inconvenience such a shift may have caused.
    Ever so grateful,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hello Lenders,
I had posted Sunday 27th that I will be paying my 7th installment today 30th Sept. when I receive my weekly dues from the jobs I do online. I have received the rewards, and I will send the installment!

Thank you very much, and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have occasioned.

    Best regards,
    Willy

    Hi Lenders,

I am ever so grateful for what you did to me. I am doing well, golly!

I post to inform that I am not able to send my today's (27/9/2015) installment today, and that I will religiously send that on Wednesday 30th Sept. 2015, since then I will receive my weekly dues for my online writings and business.
I am grateful for your continued support.

    Warm regards,

    Hello Lenders,
I am doing well, and so I hope you are. I just want to inform you that I was unable to pay yesterday's (20/9/2015) installment. I hadn't received my weekly dues, until tomorrow, and I tried all I can to source money from elsewhere without success.
It is, however, certain that I will update the payment tomorrow Tuesday, 22 Sept. I hope this won't much hurt my good repayment rate.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.

    Warmest Regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hi lenders,
I regret I will not be able to pay this week's installment today as required. It has been a very tough week on me, and it has left my pockets certainly hurt. Besides failing to pay the installment today, I have failed to meet the deadline of clearing my final year university fee, managing to foot up just half of it. I will have to negotiate with the administration for an extended deadline.
Nonetheless, I will wire the money at the earliest opportunity when I get it.
I am all thankful for your continued cooperation!

    Hi Lenders,
I hope everything is dandy, for everybody!

I am most apologetic for failing to pay my last week's installment on time. I traveled upcountry and while there things got awry. I couldn't access internet services to refer to the correct repayment instructions, and my friends on Zidisha were not reachable on phone.
As a matter of concern, I have therefore made sure I repaid that installment today, and that of today, too. I just came back to town two days ago.
I am hopeful such a mistake I will not again occasion, and that I will stick to my promise of timely repayments.

I wish you all of Zidisha Team good health.

    Warmest regards,
    Willy Munyoki

    Hi Dear Lenders,

I am doing well. In fact, I have remarkably improved on how I handle my clients online jobs requests. And I owe all this progress to your kindness and generosity to support my purchase of my PC.

I, however, will grudgingly reduce my installments today. I do it while I loathe it, but I have to for one reason: I do not have enough money in my Mpesa account to foot up the whole 1500 KES (15 point something USD) as I'd set for each weekly payment. I instead have 800 KES (about 8 USD). My other bucks will be wired into my PayPal account on Tuesday or Wednesday, upon which I will clear the remaining 700 KES to reach my weekly promise of 1500 KES, and the indicators are favorable that I will continue paying the successive installments without repeating such a delay.

Though I grudgingly make the reduction, I believe it is also very good, for honesty surpasses wish.

I will effect the adjustments then back to my desired 1500 KES.

I am ever so grateful for your kind and continued cooperation.

    Warmest regards,
    Willy
