About Me

My name is Amponsah Naomi from kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana West-Africa. I am the the fourth of the ten children of my parents who are Ghanaians. I started school at Patasi Local Authority primary school and continued to the Junior High school where i sat for the West African Basic School Certificate Examination and passed with distinction. I managed to secured distinction in my exams even though the problems i had throughout my basic school life was enormous. My parents are Cocoa farmers and cocoa as an annual crop makes it difficult for my parent to make ends meet when the cocoa season fades out expecially in the payments of my school fees. The large family size of my parents is also a big burden on their finances. When i completed the Junior high school, my senior sister was also at the university so my parents told me to stay home till she completes before they think of me. I lost hope because another senior brother had also completed and because he is senior to me they will consider him first when the opportunity even comes. I cried everyday expecially when i see my schoolmates in senior high school uniform until my cries and problems got to my church executives who quickly made arrangements for my tuition fees to be paid and by God's protection and intervention i am on the course of getting close to my childhood profession. When I got into the nursing training school i decided to do business to support my parent so that the payment of my school fees and other expenses would not be a problem. I got the blessing of my parent to do the business, even though they are poor, they managed to get me something small to start with.
I am a registered general nursing trainee and a student entrepreneur who trades in slightly used school-bags. I started with fewer bags but due to the high demand of the product on campus, the business keeps growing but due to insufficient money i am incapacitated to meet the demands. There are limited supplies because i do not have the financial strength to buy more bags and sell to make larger profit.

My Business

I sell second-hand/ slightly used bags to fellow students who do not have the financial strength to purchase sophisticated ones. I provide affordable and alternative bags to students notably those who do not have the financial capability to buy expensive new ones. I chose to sell slightly used bags on campus due to the high demand for it. Demands far exceeds supply. I use the profit to reinvest into the business and also use part to take care of myself in school to ease the financial burdens on my parents. The revenue i get is very good and promising and i will repay the loan on time without any difficulty.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to buy more goods and sell them to generate enough money to take care of myself in school. I will repay the loan with my interest and my parents are also willing to help me meet the weekly repayment even in the event the interest goes down. I have their support. I need about 450 dollars to expand my business and generate more interest to take care of my educational expenses.
