About Me

My name is Augustine Bediako, a Ghanaian by birth and from Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital. I have stayed in Ash-town, a suburb in Kumasi since my Childhood. My parents are farmers I had my early education at St. Thomas preparatory school in Kumasi- Ghana. I was the Assistant boy's prefect in the year 2009 and also represented my school in the Regional science and mathematics quiz competition which we won. I sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination and had distinction. After my JHS, i got admission to Prempeh College, one of the finest Senior High School in Ghana. I did very well in the WASSCE and was awarded by the school authorities as one of the outstanding and best student from the general science programme that year. After my SHS education, i worked as a shop attendant for a company with many branches throughout the country to raise money to support my parents to cater for my university education.
I got admission to read Bsc. Medical Laboratory Technology at the University of Health And Allied Sciences, Ho - Ghana. When i got to the university life was constantly becoming difficult and unbearable so i decided to start a business to raise money to cater for my needs. I sought advice from entrepreneurs and business guys on campus and they coached and mentored on how to successfully operate an on campus business and since then i have found financial independence.
As a university student who has struggled to make life better through hard-work, perseverance and determination. I am close to my aim of completing university education, a feat i never thought of. The road has not been easy at all. I sometimes stay for hours without food until i saw the need to start the business through a friend who was doing and operating a successful business on campus who introduced me to selling of files, notebooks, pens and other stationaries to students and this has help me live a comfortable life on campus. The rate at which students buy them is very amazing. I am doing this business because it is cheap to operate it and its demand is very high and encouraging.

My Business

I sell to students the very essential materials they need to study such as notebooks, pens and others. Because every student needs such an item to make studies easier, the rate with which they buy it is very good and has also given me the financial strength to pay my school bills using the dividends. I also reinvest the profit to advance the growth of the business. I chose to do this business after an extensive consultation with the student entrepreneurs and those into the selling and buying business on campus. It is not expensive to operate this business and the profits that accrue from business is very good and has helped me to finance my education. The profit is used to reinvest into the business to expand it. I also use some of the profit to pay my tuition fees.

Loan Proposal

I will buy more books, pens, files and other stationaries with the loan amount when granted. I need about 420 dollars to get the above materials in order increase my revenue so that i will be able to to pay my university residential and academic user fees. This will help me to complete my course on time. I expect my profit to go up significantly when this loan is granted.
