About Me

My name is Theresa Boahemaa, I am 24 years and the second born in a family of six, i have two sisters. My parents are Mr. and Mrs. Osei Boateng, i grew up in Kyeremasu in Dormaa East District. I went to Freeman primary and junior high school. Due to lack of money i was not able to finish senior high school and so i moved to stay with my elder brother in Techiman to sell second hand clothes. Techiman is a big market town and many people come there to trade and so after six months working with my brother, I began collecting different food items that make price in the season from people to sell for commission. I was earning some money from the sale of the different items such as plantain, cassava, green pepper, onions and many more at the end of every market week and i saved the money because i wanted to have a business of my own. I am not married and i don’t have kids but I hope to get married and have kids in the future. The food I like most is banku and okro stew and i love dancing to local music.

My Business

I started working with my brother in Techiman market three months after I have stopped senior high school. After some years trading, i saved some money that enabled me to start buying food items from farmers and reselling them in the market. I usually sell pepper, tomatoes, onions, cabbage and sometimes plantain and cassava when they get market. That is I don’t sell one item. I chose this kind of work because they are much needed by the customers every day. I started this work with GHS 550 which I used to buy half bag of green pepper and 2 bags of onions. After some months of sales I was able to use the profit to buy a half box of tomatoes in addition and i make a profit of GHS 100 every week. I use my profits to reinvest growing my business and sometimes support my parents with part of it.

Loan Proposal

My dear lenders i wish to apply for a loan of $200 to expand my sales of food crops. When this loan is given to me i will use it to buy more food items in addition to my existing stock. I will buy products like a bag of green pepper, box of tomatoes, onions and some other items required to improve my trading. When this loan is given to me it will help me provide clean and fresh food items to my customers also increase my profit margin by 55% so my lenders help me boost my work and increase my profit margin and I promise to repay regularly, Thank you .
