About Me

Who is Paul Katuta? I am and will forever be a rural boy who dares to dream. I was brought up in a rural setting(Taveta Sub County) in Kenya, attended a rural primary school( Mahandakini) but managed to emerge the best pupil 17 years ago. I would later join a Provincial School(St. Mary's) but drop out of school for a whole year due to school fees constraints. I would later resume and wind up with B- (MINUS) short of my expectation of B+ (plus). It took me through three years to raise money to collect the results that had been detained by the school due to huge school fees balance. After securing the results, i tried my lack in military recruitment and was successfully enlisted. Since then , I have faithfully and diligently followed my dream; dream of excellence in all my undertakings. I am cognizant of the fact that my humble background cannot take me to places but my dreams remain my shield and and defender! My dare to dream took me to University in spite of my busy career. I am today a PhD student thanks to my power to dream. Yes, I will dream, dream and dream

My Business

Together with my wife, we operate a small business of a kerosene pump, electrical and electronics and hardware products. It is not that well stocked. The only good thing about it is the bigger dreams we have about it. We look forward to growing it to higher levels. Our biggest challenge has been strained running capital. It is a challenge that we can overcome with Zidisha input. Most of my income goes to school fees and family expenses. I look forward to growing with this great family of Zidisha

Loan Proposal

I am intending to buy lighting bulbs (Philips) at a whole sale price of Ksh.37 per piece. After selling I will make a profit of Ksh.150. This will enable me to pay the 5% processing fee and reinvest the remaining amount to buying bigger stock. This is a big step forward in nurturing my business and at the same time ensuring consistency to my customers who sometimes find the item out of stock
