About Me

My name is Lilian Wabala, went to Busia Airstrip primary school, Kolanya Girls High School and lives in Busia Kenya. I come from a polygamous family . I am a Christian with Church of God Busia. I decided to practice timber selling and purchased some few timber worth twenty thousands(Kenya shillings) The management system I am using is full time personal supervision The reason I decided to have a timber yard is that there is high demand for timber in my county due to high population growth rates where many people are forced to construct houses and furniture, There is also demand for timber in businesses like coffin making and firewood for fuel. This has created a huge business opportunity for me, since I can purchase timber from suppliers and sell to my customers. Availability of trees in my country especially the forests and personal tree plantations spearheaded an opportunity for my business to take root . I love my Timber selling business because it is providing money for my family. I am able to support my family from the profit I get from the sales I make.

My Business

Am an entrepreneur dealing with timber, I buy and sell timber to different buyers both in Carpentry and Construction of houses. I have worked for an NGO as a field officer for 2years and managed to raise some little capital to start a timber business.

Loan Proposal

I therefore need more to expand and buy more stock, invest in and later buy a smoothening machine that will help in cutting and smoothening timber so as to attract more customers. I have requested for a loan to help me buy a handcart that I will be able to hire for customers to use for transporting the timber that they buy from my timberyard and charge a reasonable fee so that this helps me boost my business. With the hardcart, I foresee my yard expanding and I have a vision of stocking ropes, nails and wood preservatives that customers use during their construction and carpentry work, indeed the loan will help me purchase more once I succeed getting it.

Loan Proposal

I hereby kindly request my funders to accept my loan proposal. I am requesting for a loan that I will use it to purchase a printer and printing papers since I have got a tender from, church, friends and other businessmen and women to be printing for them some paperwork at a fee, the place I stay has no printing services and people spend a lot of their time and money going to town to access these services, so I believe I will manage to capture this wide market. Similarly, I will use it to purchase more supply of eggs and dry maize that I will sell to the very customers that are currently buying from me at a small scale.
