Iam grew up and did my education in the village . latter joined my secondary school in Kijabe Girls. latter did higher diploma in computer electronics.
I was able to overcame hardship to achieve my goals in life by starting my pig farming which after feasibility study found within six month I have a readily available market with farmers choice Kenya. we have one on one relationship with them and they come home to see my piglets.
I was employed since last year june 2014. By November I started the pig sheds and by january I had bought 20 piglets from farmers choice in kenya. I am waiting for a breed from farmers choice due in march.
MY CULTURE:
About my culture and land . I come from central. Not far away from the capital city Nairobi. I am able to visit my pig farming four times a week. Our temperatures are warm very conducive for the pig farming.
MY CHILDREN:
My son would like to be an architect while my daughter would like to be a doctor.
My hobbies are travelling, listening to music ,socializing and swimming.
Iam In farming, pigs rearing .
I had done my feasibility study through farmers choice and Egeton University where I attended one week course on Hydrophonic and pig rearing. We have one on one relationship with farmers choice who are our soul supplies of bacon sausages and pork in kenya.
in my village we are like 5 farmers .
I have spend total of Usd 8,000 including of building structure of Hydroponics unit and the structure .
I have sold the first 11 pigs and I have 11 remaining and I want to purchase some piglets.
Hey
I am intending hence I already have the fodder crop house which grows barley, oats and any other legume that can be fed to my pigs within 6 days. I would like to purchase Barley which is costing me ksh. 3,000 per bag of 50kg which will give me 50 trays of fodder. Each try of fodder I feed 3 pigs Per day , that translate to I bag of Barley will feed my 20 pigs for 16 days .
If am able to secure my self kshs. 18,000/= that will take me to 55 to 50 days. and I will have saved on production cost hence while I purchase the animal feed I spend like kshs. 5,000 per week for the 20 pigs.
I am anticipating that the production of my pig will cost me kshs. 8,000 per pig upto to the maturity and the sale of the pig will be between kshs,. 14,000 to 15,000 to farmers choice. so the profit will be 40% to 50% profit.
