About Me

i was born and raised in Kibera slums in Nairobi town, the biggest slum in Kenya inhabited by all kinds of people. I was raised by a single mother who sacrificed everything to see me through in life. I was a pupil at Highrise primary school, did well in my examination and secured a scholarship for secondary education at Jamuhuri High school. I studied well up to form three when things became sour for me. I lost my mother when i was in form three. This got me as a shock and it affected me so much psychologically to an extent i could nolonger concentrate in school. It was so hard for me because i only knew mum as the only family member. I had never seen any of my relatives all through my life. It was the greatest shock that i have ever received. It took me long to come to terms with the demise of my mother.
I struggled in school with faith that i will make it in life, after form four i maanaged to pass but couldn't make to go to campus because i lacked support to see me through in school.
i thus opted to start up a business that could provide for me. My mother had a small shop in town where she used to sell groceries, i converted the shop to a Barber shop and started shaving people. i had some knowledge in shaving because during holidays i used to hung around my friends barber shop and he thought me how to shave. That is how i started the barber business.
Our land is unique because its a slum and is thus inhabited by all kinds of people, thiefs, pastor, drug pedders among others. the only way to surviving in this land is being principled and respecting yourself. my hobby is playing soccer and watching the English Premier League

My Business

I offer services. I run a barber shop in Kibera slums i thus do shaving of mostly men hair to make a living. This services are useful because they help make people look neat and presentable in front of people and there boss's. The service that i render is also on demand because i have managed to establish a good rapport with many of my clients and thus they flock at my place and refer their friends.
I chose this business because at the time of the death of my mother, the only skill i had was shaving and also the fact that i also had a shop which was centrally located, i thought of venturing into the business.
I use the profits that i make to sustain my living in the slums. Life is ao hard around this place without money, i therefore try to fight so much to sustain my living with what i get, i also give back to the business to ensure my customers receive the best service.
The shop that i am using is quite spacious and i thus wish to introduce playing stations games where by the youths can be playing games during their free time and in the process make money

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan ones i get it to buy a playing station 4. It cost 400 us dollars. I have managed to save my profits to almost the amount and thus if i get the small assistance from you by funding my loan i will buy the gaming machine.
I will benefit so much from the machine because i will add an alternative source of income to my business, other than the barber shop business, i will also be generating money From the gaming machine.
I expect the playing station to give me 30 to 40 us dollars in a day. This is very possible because there limited playing stations around. Help me see through my dream.
