About Me

My names are Margaret Wanjiku Mwangi, born and brought up by two parents at Muranga county in Kenya. Am the third born in a family of seven. I grew up in a normal environment where i was lucky to go to school, having gone through primary, secondary and college education from 1992 to 2008. It took me soo long as i sought employment after completing secondary education, my parents were not in a position to pay my college fees as others behind me required attention too. I have worked as an assistant receptionist, data entry clerk, elections clerk and a bank teller. In the process i got married and am blessed with three sons aged 7yrs, 4yrs and 1yr. After working as a teller in the bank, i later decided to start my own business so that i could get time to be with my kids. Business has freedom, but one cannot misuse the freedom to engage in unnecessary and money wasting expeditions. My focus is to save and grow the business i do beyond where I started.

My Business

Am currently selling ladies handbags and school bags. I decided to start this business because almost every lady in our country needs a bag while moving around, so i found it a necessity.
Luckily i had information where to source the bags at cheaper price. I visited the Market and did a research on prices and compared with retail prices at our estate and found that i could make a profit of at least ksh200 per bag. Currently am doing sales of five to ten bags per day. The profit i make i use half of it to purchase additional stock and use the remainder to cater for my family needs like buying food stuff.

Loan Proposal

Thanks Lenders and Zindisha team for giving me another opportunity to borrow and grow my poultry rearing project.
Am humbled to request you lenders to led me $150dollars so that i may increase the number of layers I currently have. My plan is to increase the birds to 5,000 laying birds in a period of one and half years, because eggs are ever in demand and prices are very stable back here in our country. With $150 dollars I will be able to purchase more 130 chicks. One day old chick is selling @ $1.15dollars. I have the nest ready and feeds. My promise to you as a Lender is I will never fail you, am ready to purchase the chicks immediately funds are available. God bless you as you support me in this.
