About Me

I currently rear local poultry in large numbers and dispose locally. Last year alone I was able to have supply of 20 birds consistently for four months. I started rearing poultry for sale on a large scale after a training from ADS-Nyanza when I realized that Poultry is lucrative only when done on large scale. I currently focus into the future to increase the number of birds so as to increase my profit levels. I want to make a name out of my poultry and be the centre for poultry. I want to be able to produce enough to supply even hotels in Kisumu town which is nearby

My Business

The biggest challenge with local poultry has been that they take too long to mature. I want to now focus on the improved breeds like Kenbro for upgrading my local poultry so as to shorten the maturity time and increase egg production. I also want to start hatching using an egg incubator since naturally hatching does not give optimum levels. A number of eggs go un-hatched and they also cant be sold as they go bad.

Loan Proposal

purchase a small egg incubator to help hatch my own fertilized eggs to reduce losses, that will create jobs in our society and also my profits will increase
