About Me

My name is irene simiyu a femmale kenya citizen by birth from Rift valley provice nakuru Lanet estate, I am the third born child in a family of five chuldren three boys and two girls.
I went to lanet day school annd sat for my Kenya certtificate of primary education and later joined shiners girls high school and sat for kenya certificate of secondary education. I passed well and joined Egerton university where i pursued a bachelores degree in business management. After campus i tried looking for a job in vain, most offices i visited were full and had no vacancy.
My elder brother who is a farmer employed me in his farm and this is were i gained intrest and capital to start poultry keeping.
I saved for six months and started my business.

My Business

Poultry keeping for eggs and chiken meat is profitable in my area, demand for eggs is high and chiken meat are sold almost evreywhere.
My focus is in hatchery of sustainable chikens as a way to expand my business and create employment in my community, I will be hatching chiks and selling to youths at cheaper prices which they will go and sell in the market at a profit. Thier is high demand of improved kienyeji chikens due to high disease resistance and low feed consumption.
My target is to increase my current revenue from 65 percent to 80 percent by the end of this year.

Project Proposal

I will use the granted loan to buy another egg incubator to help speed up and increase number of hatches chiks.
Thank you.
