About Me

I am Regan Bett, a upcoming and a rising entrepreneur who deals with poultry farming( broiler business). I have been in this business for 1 year now and I've seen the gains that come along with this business. I began with a few chicks nurtured them and have been increasing the number with time. Despite the financial constrains here and there I have been able to increase stock and am currently at 100 broilers and would wish to increase the number to 200. That's why I appeal for your support to improve and upgrade my business.

My Business

Project Title: Enhancing Broiler Poultry Farming for Sustainable Livelihoods

Introduction:
I am excited to present this proposal to request funding support for my broiler poultry farming project aimed at enhancing sustainable livelihoods in our community. With your investment, am aiming to establish a modern broiler farm that will not only generate profits but also create employment opportunities and contribute to food security. Currently I have started the project with 100 broilers and am aiming at increasing the stock so I can get greater returns and for this reason I hereby request for your financial support to boost my business. I rear young chicks(broilers) and when they are of a tender age I sell them to potential customers. I also do brooding and sell chicks from a week old .

Project Objectives:
1. To establish a broiler poultry farm capable of producing X number of broilers per cycle.
2. To provide employment opportunities for local residents, particularly youth and women.
3. To contribute to the local economy through the sale of high-quality broiler meat.

Market Analysis:
My market research indicates a strong demand for quality broiler meat in our region. With consumer preferences shifting towards organic and locally sourced products, there is a significant opportunity to capture market share by offering premium broiler meat produced in a sustainable and humane manner.

Technical Plan:
1. Construction of modern broiler houses equipped with automated ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
2. Procurement of high-quality broiler chicks from reputable hatcheries.
3. Implementation of a nutritionally balanced feeding program using locally sourced feed ingredients.
4. Adoption of best practices in disease prevention and biosecurity management.

Operational Plan:
1. Daily monitoring of broiler health and welfare by qualified veterinarians.
2. Regular cleaning and disinfection of facilities to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
3. Efficient feed and water management to ensure optimal growth and performance.
4. Timely vaccination and disease control measures to prevent outbreaks.

Financial Plan:
1. Total project cost: 100,000
2. Funding requested: 50,000
3. Expected revenue: 200,000
4. Projected profits: 80,000 -100,000

Risk Management:
1. Disease outbreaks: Regular veterinary inspections and vaccination protocols.
2. Market fluctuations: Diversification of product offerings and strategic pricing strategies.
3. Environmental factors: Implementation of sustainable farming practices to minimize impact.

Sustainability and Environmental Impact
1. Implementation of waste management systems to minimize environmental pollution.
2. Efficient water and energy usage through the adoption of modern technologies.
3. Promotion of biodiversity through responsible land management practices.

Timeline:
1. Project progress: I have started the project and has been running for 1 year now
Challenges
2. Construction of broiler houses and infrastructure :with the growing population of my broilers I need more space to rear them so if I get funds I will construct more houses...currently I have 2 houses ...am planning to add more 2 more houses
3. Procurement of chicks and equipment: in need of more equipment to ease congestion during feeding..and also need to add more chicks to expand the business...the challenge is finance
In conclusion, my broiler poultry farming project represents a viable opportunity to not only generate profits but also contribute to sustainable livelihoods and economic development in our community. With your support, we are confident in our ability to successfully implement and manage this project for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.
