I did a diploma in computer applications in mount Kenya university . Perseverance, endurance and hard work has been the only key to success in my life. After completion of my diploma education, i borrowed five thousand Kenya shillings from one of my tutors with an intention of investing i poultry; which i successfully did. I constructed three small cages in our compound and used them as my chicken houses. The only uniqueness in this area is that there is limited land.one needs to think out side the box in order to succeed in life. There are plenty of opportunities to those who have interest in them. My two children admire to become a doctor and a pilot. The main hobby that i maintain in my life is being creative and socializing.
My business is poultry rearing.i have many types of poultry such as chicken, goose ,ducks and pigeons. Keep and sell poultry products to city residents . These products are of high demand due to mushrooming hotels in the city. Also, most house holds around believe i n spicing their meals with poultry products. The main reason why i choose this venture is because of these ready market and access to customers. The main costs incurred are in relation to the purchase of poultry medical equipment and feeds. Most of my revenue and income/ profits come from the sale of eggs, broilers and old layers. Weekly i make a profit of about ksh 6000 /= which is equivalent to $ 66.7 and this is a commendable job on the same . The main use of my profit is in improving my business and educating my kids.
Incase i get this amount of money i will utilize the amount as follows:-
22.5 US dollars will be of inventory of stock in my area of work, thats buying new hatcheries
10.8 US dollars will be used to buy some water pipes to supply water for my chickens.
20.5 US dollars will be used to by a new plastic tank for the supply of water in the .
22.5 US dollars will be used to renovate some worn-out parts of the cages that need renovation .
i will be of benefit to stretch my desire to improve business
i will also give back to the society and communicate the good of your existence hence a societal benefit.i expect my profit margin to be between 77.8 US dollars to 11.5 us dollars on weekly basis.
