About Me

I am a pastor in one of the dry areas of machakos district kenya. I am the 8th born of a family of 10. During my primary education, I had to drop from school to go and work as a herds boy for three years before going back to school. I grew up in abject poverty that is why I like empowering young people.
As a pastor I like teaching young people life skills and identifying their potential.
I also registired a business firm on investiments.

My Business

As a pastor and a teacher, I get some allowances from the pastoral ministry as well as from teaching. Besides this, I have some investments through my business firm where I have a farm for growing some crops for sale. I use what I get for educating my children as well as meeting the basic needs of my family. I have noted that there is a high demand of indigenous chicken and so I felt I can venture into poultry and help the youths in the church to establish some income. I would like also to diversify my project to include dairy keeping due to high demand for milk.

Loan Proposal

With the loan I will buy chicks and set up a chicken house. This will be the lndigenous birds that are in high demand. I will use this as a training ground for the young people where they shall be coming to learn as they participate in the project and then try to set up their individual projects in their own homes.

    Mathew,
It's impressing the way you respond to follow ups .You really did a great job at least to pay something!.All of us here borrow because we are needy and we are prone to repayment challenges,so not a big deal.Mathew press on! i know your doors to breakthrough will open wide and all will be fine.I have got several needy borrowers who have been locked out simply because my current invitees have not met deadlines,so Zidisha is not growing! Let's go an extra mile to offset , this will be a blessing to my new invitees.

    Hi Mathew,
Nice to hear the loans are helping you!
My advice here:I have always noticed lenders get impressed by at least snapshots of the progress. With photos you could inspire other people to begin the same projects elsewhere. That's a plus to the community.

Thank you so much for the loan. I am doing well so far in the business and would like to expand it. In that connection, I would like to apply for another loan of ksh 35120.

I am grateful to all the lenders for the loan that has assisted me to start the project. As I mentioned earlier the next loan I intend to increase the chicks and also diversify the project.
