About Me

I am 25 years of age and single .Professionally i am a secondary school teacher currently teaching at Eldoret college of professional studies.I finished high school with good grades that enabled me to join university. After completion i have not been able to secure good job and the finances that i get from the local commercial college has not been enough to fulfill my dream of starting a poultry business. This is mainly because the few resources i get i have been redirecting to support my siblings in school.Despite the less resources that i am able to get,i have managed to buy five hens but i am not able to build a good shed for them.Equally i could like to expand the business and hence meet the high demand of eggs and chicken in the area where i stay that is a border point between kisii and Luhya community that is well known for their preference of chicken.
I love watching soccer and studying business documentaries and journals.I have really thrived through life's challenges but i have not lost hope in my dreams of owning a poultry farm to fill the gap that exist in my village .

My Business

I intend to expand my already started poultry business to meet the growing demand for eggs and chicken in my area.I live in border point of Kisii and Luhya that have a re known culture of consuming chicken.Savings from my small salary has been my main source of income. The cost of running a poultry business of 150 chicken is 170 US Dollars a month and the expected revenue in the passage of time is 300 US Dollars a month.
I intend to reinvest half of the profits to expand the business and use the rest to grow myself.

Loan Proposal

With Ksh 3393 I intend to buy a first batch of 6 more chicken to add to my existing 5 chicken. This will enable me increase the production of eggs in the first 3 months that i intend to re hatch with the existing chicken and hence increase the number of chicken in the first year.
