i just finished my university education know am waiting for my graduation.
i am an entrepreneur dealing with rearing of chickens.
i started this business with the aim of been my own boss and be able to support my family and self to.
i studied for my o-levels in nairobi after which i was admitted to pwani university in kilifi.
from my earnings i purchase tools for expansion and pay bills which i receive from the work.also am able to solve my financial problems.
among my hobbies i love traveling and reading motivational books.
i love socializing with my friends when am free to be able to expand my knowledge about life.
one thing l came to know about life is that with patience and perseverance one is able to be successful.

My Business

My business is a small scale business,am a poultry farmer who keeps broilers.i started this business because i realized there is a gap(niche) from the society.
My potential customers are from the factory near by called (athi river mining).
my customers prefer my products because i maintain cleanliness and my chickens are kept in a clean place and the services i offer them are in a favorable price.
i got high demand since there are small hotels which are coming up and they need chicken for their customers and also with the huge population from the company,i have to expand the business so as to satisfy the growing market.
the business is very profitable in that the sale of one chicken gives you a double return compared with how you bought that chicken while it was a chick.
the risk my business faces are from diseases which the chickens get and the ever hiking food cost from the market.
my monthly cost adds up to 30,000 from buying food and treating the chicks,2000 for paying my workers,2000 monthly water and electricity bills.
sales revenue adds up to 44000 hence a profit of 10,000.

Project Proposal

With the funds I would like to add more chicks in my farm, buy food products to enable me feed the chicks and also expand the structure

    Hi ,
With the loan which I was given ,I am pleased to announce that my business has had a major boost.
I was able to expand by adding new stock of chicks and buying food to cater for thier daily meals.
There has been a lot of setbacks which made me delay in paying the loan in time.
Some of the setbacks were brought about by climate change, fluctuations in market prices, diseases and infections which affected the chicks, and people who I had supplied for ,some delayed to pay while some even never payed their depth.
All in all ,my earnings have increased and I have been able to meet the needs I wanted so hard to achieve.

Through the increased earnings I have tried so hard to add more stock and market my business far.
With the necessary assistance and boast,I am planning to incorporate more activities in my poultry farming by including other animals.
I am committed and trying so hard to finish the loan so that I can be able to be awarded another loan n chance to expound my business and became even bigger and better.
    Regards and thanks again.

      Hello Lawrence,
Thank-you for your update. And thank-you for getting ahead of schedule with your repayments.
I'm glad that you have been able to increase the number of chicks that you are raising.
I hope that they continue to be healthy, and grow fast and strong so that they will get you a good price!
Do you carry insurance on your chickens in case disease comes suddenly?
I wish you and your family good health.
