About Me

My names are Josphat obuya, I hail from Kisii county, Nyanza province. I was born 24/11/1990. I started school in 1997 at a local school since our family was one of the poorest in the village. Di spate all this challenges in life i sat my primary level certificate which i was among the top students in the district but the fact that my family was poor, i joined the local secondary school in the year 2004 and did my secondary education in the year2008 and I attained Good grades .After this i did poultry farming for one year that enabled me to join college to do a Diploma in Business management. All this period poultry has been supporting me and my family and i really what to do modern poultry farming to go as per the growth of technology. My dream is to be the leading poultry farmer in the county the reason why i request you to assist me a loan to enable me increase my flock to meet the market demand in the area.Poultry has really enabled me to overcome life challenge the reason why i love it and i will do in the whole of my life to enable my children to have a better life and to go to good schools and help the society with the education and the skills they get. This will bring a positive impact to the society hence eradicate poverty and food security problem. My hobby has been giving back to the community

My Business

am have been doing business for long untill these year I got contract to supply pigs to a company ,the business fetches good money,I already have started with three pigs after two months now I have 20 piglets.with you help I know I can manage to reach 100 piglets by the end of next year. The demand for this products is high in the county due to the fact that they solve healthy problems and are save to consume and easier to cook. They are also good for farming as most of the population are farmers Also the population of the county is growing from time to time and i am really struggling to meet the demand of this products . I want to increase the number of birds to one thousand and this will mean satisfying some of the demands from my customers and making an average monthly income of Kshs200000 per month. I will use the profits to reinvestment, pay school fees and the other to start empowering projects to empower women and youths in the county thus giving back to the community

Loan Proposal

when i receive the loan i will buy two sacks of layers mash each costing $25 which will enable me to meet the quantity of feeds my hens needs hence the hens will lay eggs without any stress because any stress to poultry will mean decrease in production. The increased production will enable me to get the maximum profits from the livelihood project. I expect to make $600 per month since the production will be constant. This will help me to make more profits and since the country has experienced drought from August last year the eggs will be of great help to the community as a source of vegetables as the prices of meat is high at the moment so the community can save little to use in other household needs.
