About Me

Am a male Kenyan aged 31years, I was brought up in Laikipia east and live raised by my parents who were peasant small scale farmers.
During my education I struggled to the extent of dropping out of school to be employed as herdsman so as to raise my school fees and I was able to complete my studies and now I am a qualified laboratory technologist.
Due to my past life I was inspired to start my own business, after finishing my collage education I was employed and started saving little by little until I could raise capital to start my own lab.
Where i came from we are herdsmen and small scale farmers,
My child is still young 2years old but i would wish him to be the best Doctor in the world
During my past time I love participating in medical camps and games e.g volleyball.

My Business

I provide laboratory services such as urinalysis, stool analysis, malaria test and HIV test et cetera.
The community where my lab is located is an informal settlement area hence the people living here have limited resources therefore are unable to access expensive services.
I choose this business because this is what I am competent in and passionate about it.
The typical cost and revenue I get I wish to explain as follows , for example, I normally buy HIV testing kit at a price of KES 10(0.1USD) and I charge the test at KES 100(1USD ).
Some of the profit I normally re invest to the business for expansion and the other profit to savings.

Loan Proposal

Add stock for pregnancy test kit which costs KES 1500 (USD 15)
This will increase the test I will run and help others who face challenges of going for family planning without knowing if they are already pregnant or not.
I expect my profit to increase cause I won't face a challenge of my stock running out.
