About Me

My name is Bernice Agyei Yeboah. I am the second born to my parents and I am twenty –four years. I had my elementary education at St. Mary’s Junior High School and continued my secondary education in Sunyani Senior High School. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is the school I had my Tertiary education where I studied my language and culture. Currently I have completed National service of which I had it with Techiman Senior High School in my region.
I have interest in culture a lot due to this, during my period of National service I was able to mobilize students, train them for inter school’s competitions. It was a challenge to me as a newly posted personnel, I had to mobilize students and trained them for such competitions. With hard work, determination and perseverance, we succeeded by taken the first position in Drama in English and also took the first runner up in the Poetry Recital. With this achievement, it has helped the school to officially establish a school cultural troupe.
After completing my National Service, I hoped for an immediate employment by the government and the private sectors but did not get employed since the government of Ghana has put a band on graduates’ employment. I therefore decided to set up business of my own. With the help of some family members and friends I was able to raise funds to start this business.
The society I come from is blessed with natural resources such as minerals, forest and many other interesting types of scenery like the waterfalls and some forest reserves. What keeps the society in peaceful co-existence is the unique sense of belongingness.

My Business

I am a young graduate who have established a business and need financial assistance to ensure the sustainability and growth of this business.
I rented a space of which I pay GH₵80 equivalent to US$20 a month excluding my utility bills. I pay GH₵20 which is equivalent to US$5 as electricity bill each month. I make between GH₵80 to GH₵100 each month equivalent to US$20 to US$25 as a profit. I need to buy more assets in other to expand the profit margin so that it can cater for my rent bills and other utility bills to enable me sustain the business and expand it as well.
The reason I am into this kind of business is that, education is of key interest to me and for that matter anything that supports or improves education is of much interest to me. This business of mine is located near schools therefore I aid them in any form of printing materials needed. I type and print materials needed by the schools. This has really enabled me sharpened my typing skills. I also sell stationaries such as exercise books, note books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and many other learning materials. This also fetches me additional income but is not enough to keep the business running.
I would be very grateful if my proposal is considered.

Loan Proposal

If Zidisha grant me this loan, I would buy a printer and stalk my space with a lot of stationaries since the demand for these services are high due to the location of the business. A printer would cost between GH₵300 to GH₵400 which is equivalent to US$75 to US$100. The printer I use now was rented on which I pay GH₵30 equivalent to US$ 7 each month for it. But due to lack of funds I cannot afford them. With the stationaries such as the Exercise books and Note books I buy few due to lack of resources. There are 20 pieces in a pack which cost GH₵18 (US$5) of which I buy 5 packs which cost US$25 in total. I believe I would able to buy more(double) if I am granted this loan in other to increase my earnings.
With this loan, I strongly believe it help increase my earnings and get more income to pay my rent, utility bills and expand the business as well. I usually make between GH₵80 to GH₵100 each month equivalent to US$20 to US$25 as a profit but I expect that my profit would increase to about GH₵150 to GH₵200 equivalent to to US$38 to US$50 each month.
