About Me

I come from a family with a very humble economic background and therefore I have known hardship from the days of my childhood. I have experience in different fields, including having been a full time and the only pastor of a local church for about two years, teaching in a secondary school for over five years and working as a relationship officer in a local micro-finance bank for about four years.
All along, my dream has been to start a business that I would grow to something reliable in terms of income generation.
Over the time I attempted to do several businesses, but eventually settled on a Cyber Cafe' business, which I have been running for almost a year now. I decided to resign from my job at the micro-finance bank early this year so as to manage the business closely. With my full-time involvement in the business, I introduced Lands and Estate Agency and I also do brokering on General Insurance policies.
I come from a cosmopolitan town which is also frequently visited by both local and international tourists and therefore does not have any unique culture.
I have one toddler boy child who can hardly express himself for now. He means the world to me and cannot wait for the time he will become of age to start telling me about his dreams.
I don't have any peculiar habit I can call a hobby, but at least I enjoy traveling and making new friends.

My Business

From my explanation above, the business is largely service oriented. I chose this kind of business intentionally, first because of the growing demand for the services, but also due to its flexibility. On average I get about US$300 a month from the Cyber Cafe' at the moment, which I expect to grow to at least US$450 a month by the end of this year. I also get about US$150 per month from the other business activities at the moment and expect the same to have grown to at least US$ 300 by the end of this year.
The cost of revenue is currently about US$200 per month which is manageable.
I currently plough back most of the profit to improve on the facilities at the Cyber Cafe' and also as float for the rent collection segment.

Loan Proposal

I intend to use the money to buy a carton of printing papers to be used in the Cyber Cafe'. The same will cost me about US$15, which would otherwise have costed me over US$20 if I were to buy one rim at a time. This will somehow help me enjoy the economies of scale to some degree, thus enabling me to save on my business expenses.
