About Me

Was born in the year 1992 in Nakuru in a village known mzee wanyama.its here that I was raised up and got my education upto form four level after a lot of struggle due to financial problems.in the year 2012 I joined University of eldoret and pursued a degree in General Agriculture up to 2016.
Since I was young I loved agriculture and its one of my hobbies.
In the year 2017 I joined Elimika Group as an extension officer and few months later I thought and came up with an ideaof becoming a seed multiplier.
I leased a land,approached KALRO and they approved my idea.I purchased new improved shangii potatoes variety worthy kshs30000($300) that I now multiply and supply to farmers.Am ready for my second season.
I love associating with youths.

My Business

The business started in May 2017 Where I approached KALRO and got new variety of potatoes know as Super shangii,I leased an acre of land and planted the seeds.
The aim was to multiply the seed and sell to locals in molo and kuresoi region
I have done first season and was able to provide seeds to 53farmers.
In the season am ready to set by End of November am targeting 500farmers.
One90kg bag I sell at kshs 3000($30).

Loan Proposal

The loan of 5,315 will be used to buy foliar fertilizers that is 3kg rosasol P @ $3.5, 3kg rosasol N @$3.5 and 3kg rosasol K @$ 3.5 ( gives a total of $ 31.5) . The remaining $21.65 will be used to buy sticker ( aquawet 100ml @ $1.65), insecticide that is alpha cymba 100ml @ $1.5. A total of $18.50 will be used to pay nine casual laborer who will make the ridge and plant the potatoes. Each labourer will be paid $ 2.0 . This will loan will help me purchase the above imputs which are very necessary for maximum production as they help improve the quantity produced and quality and therefore translates to realization of high profits and also this will create job for the laborers employed to work in the field and therefore they will be able to put food on their tables and also due to production of high quality seeds the customers in this case the farmers will be able to get high yield and quality potatoes which will meet the market demand and hence they will be able to improve their lives and that of their families.
As a result of better management of my crop i expect the profit margin to raise with 20% margin.
