About Me

hello. Im jared born and raised in kikuyu kenya. i have been working in the informal sector for over 10 years but in the last three years i enrolled as an apprentice at a local welding and fabrication shop. the reason is i saw potential in the manufacturing industry of our growing economy. as i did not have enough funds to join a formal school i thought this was the best way to get in and acquire the required knowledge. i am however ready to venture out and start my own shop and grow.

My Business

after training for a year and a half i managed to get employed at the shop where i have been working as a welder and fabricator in the local juakali industry. the business involves designing and fabricating metal doors, windows, furniture and various working equipment ranging from wheelbarrows, trailers, jacks scaffolding and energy saving jikos. while the earnings as an employee are not large the potential as a self employed person are great due to the increasing demand for the products

Project Proposal

I intend to fund the purchase of welding and fabrication equipment bit by bit until I have enough to run my own shop
