My child education was a successful one. I am saying this because it is not that we did not encounter problems but as the Bible said the battle is the lord. My childhood days was a very memorable one. I remember used to board my father's car to school only some few parents were having cars at that time. I used to fill big just because my father could afford to pay our schools fees so that we were not chased home by the school's authorities.
I was also brilliant in school I used to get the second position in class whenever exams is conductor. Sometimes I dispute my results and challenging the teacher for favouring the guy to get the first position. That tells you that I was good in class and I used to be my father's favourite son because of my school performance.
I studied got myself into the university of Ghana Legon to study Psychology. I was part of the 2008 graduands I came out successfully and no work for to do. So sat home 2 good years without job I wrote numerous job applications to various institutions but non had worked. My father became worried for my situations and he decided to offer some help. But looking at my father's conditions accepting money from at this time that he is on pension. I took my pride away by accepting the money from him to establish any kind of work I want. I decided to go into business that involves buying and selling. Like operating a store. One thing is that I once worked with a woman who was having a provisional store but she was into wholesaling and some little retailing.
After having the experience from her I then established my own with her directives and supervisions. I mean she told what to do and what not to do. When I started I needed a lot of help and guidance and this woman was actually there for me.
My business a provision store. I think that is one area of a business that you can easily establish with little or no supervision. I was fortunate to have a full grown woman who was at my back to support me establish the business. In fact I deal so many goods and I am beginning to go into wholesaling if I get any kind of help that will help me financially. I have a lot of things in mind. I have realized that education a lone can not help us sometimes I have to go into business. You don't sit down expect government to do everything for you.
The reason why I am going into this business is that because of the experience I had that is why I have developed interest i operating provision store. If I am able to expand it I can employ some workers to help me do that. Whiles I was young I enjoyed selling items I think that interest spark me to established this provision store.
The kind of items I always buy some of them are Bag of sugar, Bag of rice, Chocolate box and many more. Some of them cost around GH¢200 or 300.00 it depends on the inflation of the cedis performance in the interbank market.
The profit I accrue the from the sales of the items are mostly used to take of certain things like paying my siblings school fees, expanding my business, and also using some to pay light bill and water bill and other personal expenses.
I intend to use the money that I will get from your company wisely. I intend to stock my provision shop with the following items: Sugar, Rice, etc
A bag of rice will cost around $30
A bag of sugar may also cost around $35 per bag
Milo tin 5 pieces will cost around $20
Nido and other items will cost around $30
and other stuff that the money will help me to buy.
If I get this money it will help me employ the few boys that help me in the shop and I will be able to also expand my shop the way I want it to in the future.
It will also go a long way to help me pay the school of my immediate sisters who currently home because of this fees. When things go well with me it will help the whole family and the community as a whole.
