About Me

I am Esther Mungai, a Kenyan living in Nairobi County and a business Lady with my business located in Kiambu county. My business comprises of a cyber café where I offer internet browsing, printing, stationery and photocopy services. My previous loan granted through Zidisha helped me add another client computer to my cybercafe which has really positively impacted on my overall sales and with the profit acquired i am slowly but surely incorporating stationery to my business.

My dream is to become a successful entrepreneur, to also know that my hard work, dedication and selfless effort have touched the life of another and that the trust, support and dedication my lenders have offered have gone an extra mile to bring an indelible change to society as a whole.

To say the sky is the limit for me still feels like an understatement, i cannot stop to imagine that which would deter me from pursuing my set goals and aspirations.
I would say that the day i woke up to the realization that limitations are only imaginary, that dawn made me immensely strong and courageous. So yes, today, tomorrow and always, the sky does remain my limit!

My Business

Thanks to my great passion for computers together with the dire challenge of unemployment, i decided to venture into self employment by opening a cyber cafe. I started small with three computers while incorporating browsing with photocopy and printing to this day where i now at least have 8 client computers.
Regardless of the fact that this was a new venture, my drive for quality have always surpassed my desire to earn a profit and i was willing to compromise on making huge profits for the first few months trying to pursue quality provision . It paid up i would say, cause most of my clients come looking for me for the prime aspect of quality service.
My business also upholds great work ethics and quality customer service provision. I wake up in the morning and remind myself that my customers are my first priority and regardless of how my day begins, despite the challenges I face, I know I got to do my very best to satisfy my clients. This I believe is what sets me apart from my competitors.

My business is a rental therefore I account for rent, internet and electricity expenses by the end of the month. If granted a loan to boost my business, I believe that I will be able to put it to great use as i have an added advantage of business enterprise skills from my studies on business management and the experience I have gained so far from initiating a small business, running and managing it.

It has however not been an easy venture doing self employment, but i wouldn't prefer to have had it any other way. The obstacles and disappointments have sure surfaced, but have only managed to make me a better person.

I believe i am making an impact to society and setting brave strides for the coming generation. So for this very reason, i refuse to let anything drag me down, I don’t let past failures discourage me, I look at the bright side and the sky remains the limit!

Loan Proposal

First and foremost, a huge thank you goes to my lendors who selflessly funded my previous loan that helped me purchase a laminating machine for my business. I was able to successfully repay the loan on time and am hereby requesting for another loan. While my previous loan has gone a stride forward to boosting the overall sales of my business, i believe that its only the beginning of even better things to come.
With my current loan request, i will purchase an additional desktop computer for my cybercafe which currently runs on few computers which prompts me to lose both potential and current clients due to limited resources. As much as i wish to expand my business, an additional computer will improve the overall sales my business projects and hopefully with the increased sales boost my business even further.
I promise to repay my loan on time and it goes without saying that ZIDISHA has so far opened doors of unimaginable potential, exploration and self definition that were before without hope of exploitation. Thanks to this fraternity i can hope and predict that the future is promising and as much as i may not be where i want to be in life, this bold step after another and with such an amazing family, my dreams remains valid.
