About Me
I was born in a family of 5, myself being the third born. Going to school was real tough but managed to read and write at a very young age. I used to walk on a
average 12 kilometers a day just to access school. With all those obstacles I managed to pass well and joined a good high school. With the new high environment with kids from different social backgrounds; I managed excell in my O-levels and qualified to join the University and currently undertaking a course in Business.
My business idea came being very broke in campus. The pocket money wouldn't sustain me to month end. So decided to subsidize through my own ingenuity.
My Business
My business ideas came from: I used to see Kenyan supermarkets sell very expensive laptop bags; So I did a research and found out that there were cheaper bags being imported from Uganda to Kenya. And I tried it and bought some stock, I started out by hawking them at my university campus and everybody loved them. The demand grew and so I looked for a shop in Nakuru CBD to satisfy the demand.
I sell laptop bags like the one I have on my back to high school kids and university students. I have a shop in Nakuru CBD where it is more accessible to all my customers.
Loan Proposal
I intend to buy more inventory. I need a dozen of new bags to replenish my stock since I'm running out. To purchase bags at a whosale price in Uganda it will cost about $18 and a dozen (12) would total to $216 and a transportation cost of $30 to deliver them to my shop in Nakuru.
Currently I have a large customer base and I want to maintain that by having readily available products at their disposal.
