i am susan karambu born in 1978 in meru central district, i attended my primary education at mburugiti primary school in 1984 and sat for my o-level education in in1992, later joined gikumene girls high school in 1993 to 1996 , later enlored my education at meru college of technology where i specialized in general agriculture from 1997 to 1999. i was later married at kemu area and am a mother of one boy, life became so hard as me and my husband we were jobless and we had a child who needed to be taken care of i was given 500 dollas by my late mother , i bought a cow and 5hens, i started selling milk and eggs to my neighbours. the land is fertile and good for livestock keeping. my son want to become an engineer when he grow up. my hobby is swimming .
i provide eggs , milk and sell livestock for meat. i have employed foreman who help take care of the livestock.all these are in demand because in the whole extended region that i live in 90 percent of the people have rented so they can only get milk and eggs by buying, i choose this business for one it was from my career and second after servying the area and understanding what was the demand and what could uplift my standard of living, foreman paid 117 dollas per month and am able to employ him permanent , livestock feed 117 dollas per month, revenue70.5 dollas per month, my profit used to pay my son and my inlaw son fees, re investment in growing of business , home improvements as well as constructing rental houses.
chicks for realing - chicks each at 85 dollas i will buy 45 chicks at 53 dollas . at the end of three months it will give me a profit that will benefit me , neighbours and my family too, also the manure got will improve the soil fertility. i expect my profit to increase by 20 percent in three months time.
