I grew up in Tulon village life was really hard for us but we managed to overcome the obstacles of life since we believed in ourselves and we knew we had a bright future ahead.Today I live in nakuru with my family running my own business. My dream is to own a boutique shop and also expand my tailoring business by embracing the modern technology.
I started my business after having made enough savings to purchase a sewing machine and after knowing that I could make a living from my talent.I started small by just making repairs since I could afford to purchase materials to be making brand new clothes, today I am proud of my business since I managed to purchase more materials and another machine from my savings and also educate my children. My biggest challenge is lack of enough funds to increase on my materials and buy embroidery and other equipments to meet my customers demand and provide quality services especially during this peak season. My customers are mainly individual customers. My goal is to own a boutique, own more sewing machines especially this modern one and to have tenders with institutions and schools to be making them uniforms.
I will spend the zidisha loan on purchasing more variety of materials and also modern equipments to improve on my services and to attract more customers.currently there is a high demand for festive clothes and school uniform ,due to my good services that I am always offering the customers are flocking in my shop.
