My names are Jackline Odero .Iiam married with one child .I am 23years old.my education level is college I trained as a primary school teacher .currently the government has not employed us hence my husbands income is not enough to support our family and parents.hence I decided to begin selling sand since we have a river near us and send is a demand to constructors.my hobbies include traveling garfeniing music .This business is very simple foes not need a lot of capital to begin the biggest challenge is transport

My Business

My business deals with construction sand supply .I get some young men in our village whom I use to get the sand from the river .I pay them on daily basis each 200 kes 2 dollars. per day once I get a tender in terms of Lorrie's tonnes I have to hire a lorry and some casual labour workers I sell per tonne one lorry 15000 which is 150 dollars in a week I sell 20 tonnes which is 300000 kes which is 3000 dollars I pay the casual labour 150000 kes total which is 1500 dollars lorry transport per week 100000kes that is 10000 dollars my profit per week when its peak season is 50000 kes per week which is 200000kes per month 20000 dollars low season I make 100000kes which is 10000dollars .avarage I make 80000ksh _50000kes monthly .after paying all the expenditures .in future I plan to buy my own lorry for transport

I will buy more spades since I have got more tenders people who have given me ororders of sand for construction urgently hence I need 5 more spades which are of high quality @spade costs 500 kes .this will help me get more sand and hence increase my profit
