About Me

I am Beth Litunda living in Njoro Town. I have basic, secondary and tertiary education. I schooled in a very remote area but I thank God currently I live and work in town where there are many business opportunities. I hold a Diploma in Computer Studies. I love Computer Graphics Design and this is the field am venturing into and at least I enjoy it very much. With the emerging technology many people are now embracing technology. In life I have learnt a lesson that hard work and determination will always give good results. This is because while in school I was determined to pass my exams and worked hard and in the end this came my way. At the same time am venturing into business and I know hard work and determination will yield good results for me. My family really encourages me and I have decided to forge ahead and not to look back because I know when I plant, I will surely reap.

My Business

My business name is J & B Technologies situated at Njoro Posta near Njoro Police Station. Am surrounded by schools like St Lwanga, Njoro Boys who are often my customers. The J & B Technologies deals with typesetting, printing and photocopy services. Majorly we design receipt books, letterheads, printing educational materials like exams, book binding, lamination, and graphics design. We also sell stationery like envelopes, pens and notebooks. Our location is strategic because we have many customers who include students from Egerton University. Customers prefer my business because of the efficiency I have in providing services, discounts offered and punctuality of meeting deadlines. I am an early bird since I open very early such that those reporting to work by eight and have some documents done, can always come to my premises and get it done before 8.00am. There is good security because we are near the police station and I have a guard who watches over the premises at night when I am away. The profits I get from the business is used for my basic needs, pay my employee, house-help and there is a percentage that is ploughed back into the business so as to expand it slowly by slowly. Sometimes if the machines fail, there is no income. Currently I need to buy two more computers which will cost me Ksh. 30,000. I have some savings but which I need to get a loan to add to in order to raise this amount.

Loan Proposal

When I get this loan, I am going to buy a digital camera. This will help me diversify my business because I will use it to take passport size photos and print for my clients. I will also make student Identification cards for schools and staff identification cards which must have their passport size photos. I will also use the camera to take general photos and print for my clients to their required sizes.
