About Me

My name is Eunice Adhiambo Odero, 24 years old and the mother of three daughters (Lilian, age 7, Elliane, age 3, and Kathie, age 2) and one son (John, 8 months old).

I am married to Kennedy Onyango and we run a family retail and groceries shop called Eunix Shopping Mart. The shop supplements our family income as we are both unemployed, though involved in social entrepreneurship activities in and around the Mbita community. My husband runs two charitable schools (EDTEC Academy & Hope School) and the family shop serves as a reserve to support the recurrent expenditures of the school.

My Business

Eunix Shopping Mart sells a range of food and grocery-related food items. We stock the much-needed food supplies being used in the house, like sugar, flour, baking items, oils, tomatoes, onions, beans, rice, carrots, and other products.

The business is in its early stages, having operated for the last 5 months. I need capital to improve the stock and make good sales. This is a very strategic and promising business capable of generating more money to fund our needs as a family and continue to offer quality early childhood education through our family-run charitable schools (www.edteckenya.webs.com).

Loan Proposal

With the Loan of Ksh 9,034, I will be able to buy food items; 10Kgs of Beans, 50Kgs of rice, 20Kgs of Maize Flour and Soirghum for re-sale at the family shop. These are fast-moving items that are in great demand in the local market and it will enable me to make a very good profit while making the food items available to the local community to ease on the cost of transport they use to buy them in the nearby market 5 Km away.

About Me

I am Eunice Adhiambo Odero, aged 25 years old and the mother of three daughters; Lilian age 7, Elliane age 3, Kathie age 2 and one son; John 14 months old. I was born in an island of Mfangano in Lake Victoria, Kenya as the 4th born among 7 siblings though two died while still infants.

I went through my primary education in Mfangano island and since my parents did not have stable income, I did not continue with my education past primary level. I got married to Kennedy Onyango and we do run a family retail and groceries shop 'Eunix Shopping Mart'. The shop supplements our family income as we are both unemployed though involved in social entrepreneurship activities in and around Mbita community. My husband runs two charitable schools (EDTEC Academy & Hope School) and the family shop serves as a reserve to support the recurrent expenditures of the school.

My 1st born daughter would like to be a Banker, the 2mnd born is social and can serve as a politician, while the 3rd born is quite reserved and unfriendly, My last born is jovial. I have high hopes for my kids and sky is the limit for their aspirations and goals.

In my free time, I do sing in the Church as a choir member and visit the sick in hospitals.

My Business

I trade on essential on-farm and processed food commodities in high demand under the name of 'Eunix Shopping Mart'. I sell a range of processed food items like; sugar, bread, milk, wheat flour, maize flour, cooking oils, body lotions among others. I also stock on fresh farm produce like; beans, rice and grocery related food items. I do stock the much needed essential food products being used daily in the house like; sugar, flour, tomatoes, onions, beans, sourghum, cassava, carrots, green vegetables (kales & cabbages) among other green vegetables that are in high demand.

The business is in it's early stage having operated for the last 17 months. I seek a low interest rates loans as an expansion capital to improve the stock and make good sales. This is a very strategic and promising business capable to generate more money to fund our needs as a family and continue to offer quality early childhood education through our family run-charitable schools (www.edteckenya.webs.com).
