About Me

I am Faridah Saleh last born in a family of six. i am a mother, married with one child. i have been brought up by my father after mum dead when i was still young. This experience was challenging and it motivated me to work harder in primary and secondary education which i attained good grades. After my A' level i undertook a postgraduate course in teaching at a public teachers' college since i was affordable. i am employed in a private school as a teacher. the money i earn is not enough to gather for my family and fees. from my salary savings i started a photocopy and stationary business which assisted me to enroll to further my studies during school holidays. My home is situated in riftvalley, transnzoia county, kitale town. The land is known in agriculture especially maize and dairy farming. The county is the main food basket of kenya(reffered as grannary.) My son wants to be an architecture in future. My hobbies are; drama, sports and listern/watching documentaries.

My Business

My business is located a long kitale-sibanga road at legacy shopping centre. I deal in; photocopy, selling of pens, envelops and stationary. I started my business in the year 2013. After saving a capital of $350 from my job. Due to the location of the firm i enjoy high demand since most schools are within, thus easy access. I run my business with income of around $200 out of which $100 is profit. I always ensure my customers are maintained by ensuring excellent relationship and fair prices. I use the profit to pay rent and sales person. I also restock the stationary and photocopy papers. The risks my business faces is price fluctuations and customer demands. I beat this by buying stock in bulk when prices are fair enough to satisfied my customer demands at different times respectively.

Loan Proposal

Once granted the loan i will purchase cartridges worth $33.33, photocopy papers $11.11 and stationary $22.22. once i purchase all this i will be more effective and beat competition since the business will attract more customer, thus increase in profit. the profit will assist in restocking and allow me pay my loan on time.
