About Me

I grew up in a low income family though my parents managed to take me through primary and secondary school. Due to life challenges I decided to search for employment. I was briefly employed and afterwards decided to start selling second-hand bags at a market by the name Daraja mbili in Kisii town which i bought using the little savings from my employment income salary. This market attracts people from large areas of South Nyanza region. Through selling bags I have gone ahead and started selling curtains which I purchased using the profit from selling bags. I have two children in grade 6 and grade 1. I like going out for a walk with them during my pastime.

My Business

I sell curtains as I stated earlier in my profile. Given that Kisii town is a center for large parts of South Nyanza which is rapidly growing; new buildings are coming up hence the high demand in curtains. Everyone loves to have a good looking house with windows and doors curtains. Purchase value per curtain cost $1.99 for both windows and doors which returns $2.49 per curtain. I usually purchase up-to 200pcs costing $398.36 which I can resale at $497.95. That is a profit of $99.59 From the profits that I make, I pay my children's school fees, buy food and reinvest in growing my business.

200pcs of curtains @ $398
Purchase value per curtain cost $1.99 for both windows and doors which returns $2.49 per curtain. I usually purchase up-to 200pcs costing $398.36 which I can resale at $497.95; making a profit of $99.59. This profit will enable me to pay my children's school fees, pay rent, buy food and reinvest in growing my business as I repay my loan.
