About Me

Born in 1993 in the slopes of Mount Kenya, I grew up near the forest where wild animals abounded. Due to my love for nature I ended up pursuing a wildlife and tourism course in school.

However, to complete my university education, there were some derails along the way due to inadequate tuition fee. Thankfully I received support from a relative who lived abroad at that time and this was able to complete my studies.

I started my business upon hearing that the Kenyan government had rolled out a youth program meant to train young people how they could start online job businesses. The program was dubbed Ajira Digital and it is still operational as at now.

Being from central Kenya, I'm from the Kikuyu culture which is the largest and most widespread ethnic tribe in Kenya. The Kenyan president is also a Kikuyu.

I have no kids yet but I plan to have some soon. My favorite hobby is bird watching. I am well conversant with most bird species of central Kenya and I'm a trained ornithology tour guide as well.

My Business

I provide transcription services which involve converting audio files to text files. Once I receive audio files from my clients, my work is to transcribe them into text as accurately as I can.

I have a wide range of clients because the audios that they send range from court proceedings, class lectures, job interviews or even phone calls.

I decided to engage this job since I learnt that it is a sustainable business and it has ever present clients regardless of any season of the month or year.

My typical costs include purchasing monthly data bundles and paying for electricity bill because of the charge that my laptop consumes.

I intend to expand the business by purchasing more laptops in the future, buy wireless routers and help train other young people how they can earn a living from online jobs as well.

Loan Proposal

I intend to purchase data bundles in bid to stay connected to the internet and do my online work. The data bundles go for $0.5.
This will help me finish the tasks and audio files given by clients for me to finish.
The loan is purely for business purposes and it is presumed that the profit margin will increase by $3
