About Me

I Peterson Wanjema, I'm an agribusiness specialist. I have a degree in education and vast experience in agribusiness. In my family home I rear indegenious birds, dairy animals and horticulture. I have passion in this business and proceeds alone are able to sustain my family both on basic needs and education. With this business, I can afford to pay a loan of about 12000 per month. I need cheaper source of finance to boost my business. I have passion for my business and desire to expand the frontiers of the business to have an outlet where i can have value addition of my poultry farm.

My Business

I have been operating three streams of business i.e poultry farm that has been earning me 13000/. Though it has been challenging, i have diversified it through value addition and have opened an outlet to sell chicken products, chicken meat and eggs. The other stream is dairy farming and again, desire to also sell milk at the outlet.Dairy farm has earned me 12000/. I have chosen this model as it gives farming the real meaning of also enjoying the fruits of what comes from the farm being fresh. The operational costs are not enormous as the outlet has enabled me to do a lot of value addition of the milk by making yogurt selling chicken meat and eggs,. My desire is to buy a chicken frier.I intend to use the proceeds to expand my business and open another outlet

Loan Proposal

i wish to purchase an egg hatchery that shall cost about 11000.During the period that i have been doing the hatching using the incubator ,i noted that, the percentage of the chicks that hatched stood at 75% and therefore not able to achieve over 95% production of chicks. This drove my revenues down every time i put the eggs in the incubator for hatching. For the rest of the money , i intend to buy some eggs for hatching bantam birds and turkey which i will put in the incubator to hatch. This is another very lucrative stream of income as when i have several of them, i shall use them to breed more stock and generate money

I am very excited about your quick and immense support of this great project. I had proposed my project to repair the chicken coops and buy an improved variety of chicks for better output and continue breeding from the eggs they lay for sustainability. This will boost my income and add value to the nutritional improvement of my family.
Once again thank, you very much for your kind gesture

I am sorry that i have to report an unfortunate twin calamity that befell my business.I lost a huge amount of my stock of chicks and hens from chicken fowl epidermic that made me not hatch for a while and also lost the hens that were hatching resulting from a huge loss. Kindly allow me to adjust my repayments downwards until i re-organize myself financially. I hope to lift my self again to be able to continue with my usual payments

  • Peterson    Jul 29, 2014

kindly accept to review my loan repayment schedule and adjust it upwards to sh. 800 per week. I find this figure comfortable as my earnings have improved tremendously from the sale of eggs and milk . This is as a result of the financial boost i got the loan. Please effect this change in the next 2 weeks from now.

i have made tremendous improvement in hatching and am able to produce new chicks from the new hatchery. The egg production have also improved though there had been a drop due to the cold weather prevailing which had led to a reduction in the number of eggs in a day by 30 percent. Some good news, is that, the cows have increased the production of milk thus boosting the sales.
