About Me

I am the second born of my father and the only male son, I grew up in a remote area in the Tempane District of Upper East Region Ghana, I attended primary school at Worikambo. I started school when I was off the age of Basic school due to my father illness, it was the hardest part of my life when i got to junior high school because i have to wake up 3:00am each morning prepare myself to hit the road by 4:30am because i need to ride a bike for 2 hours to school. i did not know what is pocket money at that time because my father and mother was separated and my grandmother who does everything at her power to make sure i eat every morning before i go to school and have something to eat after school could not give me money. My father died when i was in second year in Junior High school and i have to be in the house every evening to take care of things. i passed my exams and moved to eastern region to Senior High school where i work on weekends with constructions men to always have money for books and help my granny and my mother whom joined us after my father died. my mother help my obtain HND Accountancy in Koforidua Technical university. After national service i was not offered job and things got harder because i need to support my mother to take care of my sisters school fees and living expenses. I decided to do something on my own so i started to sell fried yam to save money for a bigger project. I have been able to buy a land on road side which i have intended to use for a car washing bay where i can employ those who did not have work and need to live a decent way of live. Akim Oda is a developing town when you invest on something substantial, the community will love and patronize. I love cooking for my friends and making anyone around me feel at peace. i want to use my accounting ideas to invest myself in this project to get the money i will raise from members who will entrust me with the capital and pay it on time.

My Business

The Car Spa will be providing customers with three services: exterior car washing, interior
cleaning, and detailing.
The Car Spa has no true competitors that are trying to offer a high quality service for a
reasonable rate. Most are trying to compete on price alone. The Car Spas' ability to provide a
high quality service, both in regards to the actual washing as well as customer service is all based
on their ability to find the best employees. Hiring the best employees is cost effective because it
decreases HR costs associated with turnover and other employee costs. Hiring the best
employees and making sure that they are well taken care of ensures that they in turn take care of
the customers.

Project Proposal

The Car Spa Limited (TCS), is a dynamic business start-up and a small business requiring One
Hundred and Twenty–Seven Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh₡127,000.00) equivalent to Twenty
One Thousand and Twelve U.S Dollars ($21,012.00), to establish an automatic car wash that
will provide exceptional car care services to people in the Birim central municipality. Quality
services that will exceed expectations will establish TCS as the premiere car wash service in
Oda. According to a reliable source from the Drivers Vehicle and Licensing Authority (DVLA),
there are about 650,000 registered cars in Oda and its environs with approximately 5000 vehicles
being licensed every year. Coupled with an extensive research that indicates that the two seasons
experienced in Ghana - the rainy and the dry seasons - will support steady year-round sales as a
result of more people washing their cars as often as possible.
Further, the location of The Car Spa in Oda and strategic marketing campaign will greatly attract
the local residents and the people in Oda in general. Direct competition is limited to outdated
hand gun water machine car washes at most filling stations and in some areas.
TCS will boast of the Conveyor zed automatic car washers which consist of tunnel-like buildings
into which customers (or attendants) drive for their service.
TCS wishes to employ quick but quality service delivery as its differentiation strategy to provide
value for money to clients through unique professional services rather than lower rate. With this
strategy, TCS seeks to charge premium rates or use price skimming for our professional services
which will enable us to have our return on investment at the shortest possible time.
